SUMMARY Learning to code has not always been easy for me, but it has provided an environment to express my passion, creativity, and critical thinking. I learned to code while completing my masters degree in music. E-commerce site for handmade jewelry

● I used React to make this website with imports from Bootstrap and React Router Dom.

● User authentication is handled with Firebase. Users can register, login, reset their forgotten password, and update profile information. The state that determines what user is logged in is stored locally.

● I use functional components for most components and hooks to handle rendering products, getting their details, and adding them to the shopping cart.

Professional musician's website

● This was my very first substantial project. I created a portfolio site for a professional trombone player and teacher.

● I constructed the website using basic html, css, and javascript.

● I used media queries to ensure that it is fully mobile responsive.

● The feature to schedule and pay for lessons is powered by Calendly and his social media posts are embedded with curator.io.

Javascript game

● This game is comprised of a JavaScript class that uses jQuery to create an html game board.

● Hover event listeners are used to find the first empty cell on the bottom most row to drop the piece and show you where the piece would be placed and it listens for a click to place that piece.

● It uses standard game logic to check for a win each time a new piece is added by searching for 4 like-colored pieces in a row in any direction. EDUCATION Augustana University - Sioux Falls, SD
