Job Profile: Project Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

Assisting Project Manager for all the Equipment/piping/structural related matters.

Comment & approve all the technical design necessary for the purchase and /or construction of offshore works.

Participate to meetings to examine & take part in technical examinations with the Client. Advise Project Manager on cost & scheduling imparting issue.

Notify the Project Manager of any problems occurring with piping & structural engineering areas.

Ensure that the project procedures for his disciplines are adequate for the works.

Ensure that critical RFQ & PO, for his disciplines, are issue & finalized on time.

Tracking for closing ITR’s & Punches to receive the Mechanical completion status documents for each subsystems.

Preparation of daily & weekly reporting during offshore works.

Supervise the execution of pre-commissioning & commissioning activities related to piping and mechanical disciplines for the project (with regard to procedures, quality, HSE, cost and schedule optimization) to the full satisfaction of Operations.

Carry out plant check against PEFS, engineering documents and datasheet.

Ensure proper preservation of piping and mechanical equipment

Ensure that the operation people receive all necessary data in form of reports, manuals & drawings for his disciplines.

Complete reinstatement and prepare systems and documentation for final handover to Company

Follow up activities offshore or in any construction place identified by the project. 2

Responsibilities:

Review of scope of work. Client’ Standards & Specifications of Piping & Equipment’s required, Total quantity of deliverables, reviewing bill of materials as per ASTM standards and Client HSE standards to be complied with the project.

Executing the project in line with the customer’s expectations, HSE rules, corporate guidelines, processes, policies, governance and law.

Creating the work break down structure, define and sequence the activities.

Collaborate with team of designers to complete all mechanical capital projects and provide all engineering support

Provide support to all purchase activities and evaluate all vendor submittals.

Review of Material Test Certificates for Raw Materials like Pipes, Fittings and Flanges & Welding Consumables.

Attending Design Reviews with the engineering team to update the “as built” design drawings, piping modifications and technical problems as per site conditions.

To coordinate for the fabrication of different piping system, torqueing, installation and hydro testing.

Technical Clarifications with Clients/PMC’ for any Field Constructional changes and take up the matter with Design Department for further action.

Identifying and analyzing the project risks.

Tracking of all Project Dwg’s and specifications to gather information for Site Execution & Production accountability.

Record Keeping of all project Required/Used materials. Material reconciliation works.

Communication with Clients/PMC’s for any sort of site execution hurdles on site, propose alternative solutions and seek approval.

Responsibilities:

To coordinate & assist Operation manager for the hook up of different piping system, installation of equipment’s – Centrifuges, Pumps & Hi G dryers (Shakers).

Review the design for hook up, technical documents before submission to client and to ensure that they meet as per client requirement.

Comment & approve all the technical design necessary for the purchase for construction of onshore works.

Define the consumables, tools, materials or service to be purchased / subcontracted for onshore execution with conjunction with the Operation Manager.
