Tig Welder

Welded exotic metals (Inco 617) Inconnel and Hastelloy X. Tig weld aluminum, stainless and mild steel gauge from (.20 to .188) on turbines.

Labor grade 9 Nozzle Mechanic,

I took measurements of nozzles with calipers and CNC the parts. Burned fuel nozzles on turbine frames and sandblasted. Water, flow and air pressure tested the nozzles to ensure all imperfections were correct and parts net pre-QC.

Combustion basket Department

I cut parts to map from inspection and welded new parts for repair. In order to have our parts pass inspections we gas purged, and blended parts to thickness of material to ensure all cracks and defects were corrected prior to sending them to the inspection department.

Labor

I started in the sheet metal department operating the break punch; punching holes, riveting screws into sheet metal. I ran spools of aluminum, stainless and mild steel through the cut off line. While working in the sheet-metal department I learn to used grinders, saws and electrical/pneumatic tools.

Assemble housing parts and trimmed imperfections with pneumatic sheers. QC the part prior to packing up for shipment.

Welder

I welded end caps to housing parts on stainless steel, and mild steel. followed safe workplace and welder procedures to weld and assemble metal components as needed. Utilizing disc grinders to smooth out, weld or grind parts prior to welding for quality assembly and fit. Repairing improperly welded pieces and filling holes and fabricating new or replacement parts.

Working within team to maintain a clean and safe workplace using common housekeeping procedures.

Responsible for verifying conformance of work pieces to specifications using a variety of measurement tools. Reviewing and inspecting metal stock and pieces to be processed to ensure quality materials and production. Moving parts and sheet metal into position, manually and with hoists and cranes.

Safely operating overhead cranes to move, position, set-up and organize material for production.
