During my tenure at Jiu Gong Automation Technologies I was responsible for the reorganization of the business to facilitate the transition from a metal fabrication and manufacturing business to a Chinese government certified high technology business providing industrial automation technology and robotics. My activities were instrumental in the expansion of the business from a 5 million RMB manufacturing company to an automation company with peak revenues of 50 million RMB and a staff of 125 employees.

V.J. Technologies is a provider of non-destructive inspection systems, primarily in the form of X-ray inspection applications for the military, nuclear, aerospace and automotive industries with annual sales of 50M. During my tenure, I supported new product conceptual designs, created and programmed control systems for new applications utilized in the inspection of aluminum casting products, managed equipment manufacturing and supported customer relations by managing all field service operations.

Managed and coordinated projects to include manufacturing, controls integration, installation, startup, field service and after sales support for Industrial X-ray inspection systems in the US, Mexico and China.

Worked in cooperation with all engineering disciplines to develop and implement new design concepts for state of the art Industrial X-ray inspection systems used primarily for the inspection of aluminum casting products for the aerospace and automotive industries.

Carrier heating and air conditioning is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation. My former company Harrison Control Systems, designed and implemented several capital equipment projects for Carrier and I was offered a position in their Advanced Engineering Group when I sold the business in 1997. During my tenure at Carrier, I was responsible for evaluating manufacturing processes and developing conceptual automation solutions to improve productivity/quality and reduce manufacturing cost while meeting corporate ROI requirements.

Conceptualization of capital equipment for the improvement of manufacturing processes.

Project management responsibilities for capital equipment to include budgeting, planning, scheduling, RFQ’s, outsourcing, vendor management, installation, startup and support.

Developed plant wide SCADA PLC/HMI network providing real-time production information and feedback to the production department, maintenance department and plant management increasing plant productivity and reducing equipment downtime.

Our primary products were one of a kind special purpose industrial machines utilizing state of the art PC and PLC Control systems, multi axis servo, man machine interfaces, machine vision systems and data acquisition. Our clients included leading manufacturers such as Honda, GM, GE, UTC and many others.
