Assisted my senior colleagues in minor and major procedures as a 2nd and 3rd assistant and/or observer.

Performed minor local procedures, including toe nail removal, sebaceous cyst excision, lipoma excision, lymph node biopsy, breast biposy, wound debridement.

Gained knowledge about basic surgical techniques and trauma and interpretation of various lab reports and their implication in making diagnosis.

Performed duties in opd and emergency.

Experienced in pre and post op patient care.

ii-Radiology: 3 months

Learned basis of various imaging techniques including X-ray, ultrasound, CT-scan and MRI.

Carried out various procedures including ultrasound, contrast studies and other flouro-assisted procedures under assistance.

Attended x-ray reporting sessions regularly.

iii-Medicine: 3 months

Dealing with medical emergencies.

Interpretation of various lab reports and performing all sorts of examinations and making diagnosis.

Served as a primary care of all the patients during my on call days supervised by a senior resident.

Observed and learned many procedures like I/V canulation, Nasogastric tube insertion, Foley’s catheterization and ascitic and pleural fluid aspiration under supervision.

Learned handling acute emergencies and securing peripheral lines, ABG collection and other hemodynamic monitoring.

Taking detailed history, performing examination and prescribing appropriate treatment in OPD (Endocrine, diabetic and medical OPD)

iv-Pediatrics surgery: 3 months

Assisted in various minor and major surgical procedures as 2nd/3rd assistant and/or observer.

Learned sampling of infants and neonates.

Dealt with pediatric emergencies under supervision and gained skill on applying various stitches in emergency independently.
