●Supported the Boeing customer providing HP-UX and other UNIX support for thousands of servers. ●Migrated Windows print server to clustered print service running Epic Printing Service with zero downtime and seamless/silent end user conversion. Configured Epic device table for EPS programmatically.

●Created automated, secure encrypted solution for sending of Epic generated claims/data files to outside vendors for processing.

●Health Plan conversion from an outsourced hosted HP 3000 system to a HP 9000: Implemented HP-UX 11i users/groups/printers. Planned and implemented a batch scheduling system for host jobs using POSIX shell scripts and perl scripts. Devised and wrote automated file transport system for securely transmitting system data across Internet connections using technologies such as: ftp and PGP encryption, ftp over SSL, and https upload. Integrated Active Directory architecture for UNIX user authentication. Configured SMB client to allow users to transfer files from host system to Windows shares. Configured Oracle 9i database backup and HP backup/restore strategy.

●Installed and configured a SSL-VPN appliance (Whale e-Gap) to provide secure remote access to employees and business partners of the company.

●Installed Sun SunFire box running Solaris 8 to be used as a reports server.

●Wrote many time and cost saving scripts involving software distribution and software changes to over fifty bank branches. One example would include rewriting portions of the Windows registry to change the type of network link used by the company’s terminal emulation software package from SNA to TN3270.

●Supported the roll out of McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator by pushing out the client install using automated scripts.

●Provided regional branch office support up to 50 bank branches. Installation and support of desktops and legacy Netware servers including hardware and software. Supported LAN equipment.

●Implemented the region’s migration plans from the legacy Netware servers to Windows 2000; replacing old hardware with Compaq/HP Intel servers, old hubs/switches with configured Cisco Catalyst 2900 series switches and general reorganization of data closets. Was instrumental in research and deployment of a standard Windows 2000 desktop image. This included the task of getting the two primary dos applications to function in this new environment and deployment of the images via network boot (PXE). Also heavily involved in a Citrix pilot project deploying productivity applications and Lotus Notes across 50 bank branches.

●HP-UX 10.20 system administration: Supported 2 node ServiceGuard cluster running a third party manufacturing execution system based on Oracle. Installed printers, created and implemented backup strategy, wrote a few system management shell scripts, and managed user accounts and logins. Instrumental in the implementation and configuration of devices used in the manufacturing execution system: RF wireless network and terminals, desktop scanners, barcode, multi-form, and label printers. Designed several barcode labels for use in the application.

●Intranet web server: Cut licensing cost on Oracle based application by using Microsoft Internet Information Server 4.0 and Active Server Pages to move user requested data to a web server. Secured and locked-down access to this highly sensitive data.

●Application software installation and maintenance: Microsoft Office, Oracle Developer 2000 forms and reports based applications, Lotus Notes for email/groupware, Backup Exec for backup and recovery. Software distribution via login script, batch file, and Winbatch automation software.
