Mr Oliver Mwaura holds a BSc in Civil and Construction Engineering from the University of Nairobi (2018) and is Graduate Engineer (B16864). I am also currently studying at the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies for a certificate course on Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit
After graduation, I was mainly engaged in preparation of structural and architectural drawings and the preparation of Building inspection reports for various firms and individuals. I have likewise worked in various firms as an intern (see CV attached) I am currently assigned at the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) a state corporation under the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works. I am based at the head office situated at Barabara Plaza as an Intern. I work at the Directorate of Road Assets and Corridor Management (RA&CM). Here at RA&CM, I work under a department called Trunk Network Coordination (TNC). This department oversees the management and maintenance of Trunk roads in Kenya divided into corridors A, B and C.
My responsibilities at TNC are:
Participation in Tender Evaluation and Tender Document verification
Participation in the review and approval of contractor’s programe of works
Participation in the issuance of site instruction to the contractor
Planning and attendance of Road works Site Meetings/inspections.
Receiving interim payment certificates (IPC) from the contractors during the course of the works for review and verification

Approval of Contractor`s site superintendent.
Attending training programmes for Engineers at KeNHA
Responding to Parliamentary Questions on the status of Roads

The objective of the assignment was to develop analysis tool(s) and protocols for reports received from various ministries and state organs; Analyze all the reports received from various ministries and state organs for the period 2011 to date; Present a final and analytical report of the findings in an outline agreed with CIC; Propose improved reporting framework (template(s), timeframes, etc.) that will be used by Ministries, State Organs, County Governments and Legislative Assemblies to report to CIC on constitution implementation and analysis protocols that will be used by CIC to synthesize and make use of these reports and recommend a practical participatory analysis of these reports. One of the recommendations and output was the development of a communication strategy.
