• Measure, marked, and scribed dimensions and reference points on a workpiece as guides for roughing. Reducing the need of frequent pauses to precision check the part before finishing.

• Use of shop tools and methods including deburring, filing, cutting, sawing, grinding, surface grinding to complete work assignments.

• Set up and perform vertical milling machine operations such as tramming the mill, peripheral milling, chamfering, spot drilling, drilling, reaming, boring, and mill threading.

• Set up and perform horizontal lathe machine operations such as indicating, facing, drilling, chamfering, and boring.

• Alignment and securing holding fixtures, attachments, cutting tools, or materials onto a machine.
