Roles and Responsibility

Reports to the Senior Tool Pusher on the rig. Coordinates with all supervisors with regards to safety procedures and policies.

Take responsibility for the function of rig's safety management. Regularly reports to the Safety and Environment Department.

Maintains records and reports on all matters of safety. Ensures the country's safety & environment rules and company's safety procedures are obeyed.

Prepares and participates in the weekly safety meetings and discusses any near-miss incidents.

Attend the crew pre-tour safety meetings or job safety analysis meeting. Assist supervisors to improve safety attitudes. Indicate the safety matters, which should be noted.

Participate and suggest any safety job matters in introducing or auditing of the safety plan or measures.

Assist, and inspect the regular inspections of safety equipment. Maintain records of the above inspections. Monitor corrective action plans. Check the validity of safety certificates.

Supervise the rig to implement the rules of open fire operation in dangerous areas. The Tool Pusher gives the authority to permit the open fire operation.
