KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
●Completion of (3) Black Belt projects while in the Siemens Six Sigma in house program which resulted in a 510K savings during the first year of implementation. Certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt in April of 2005.
●Led team from Manufacturing and Engineering for Capital Improvement that sourced and purchased a large CNC lathe for shop which resulted in capability to machine Shafts and Rotors up to 120” swing, 360” length, and 70000 lbs. weight. The procurement of this Lathe gave the Trenton Shop the ability to quote work that could not be handled previously due to size and resulted in an additional 900 hours of work in the first (6) months that the lathe was up and running.
●Member of new CNC machine tool acquisition team, which sourced (3) Mori Seki Lathes, (2) Charmilles EDM machines, and (1) vertical Mori Seki mill. These machines gave the shop the ability to offload parts that were run previously on conventional machines and program and run on CNC which resulted in reduced lead time, less machining time, and reduction of non-conformances.
