Authored Divisional/Corporate Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and Emergency Evacuation Plans for High-Rise Offices and trained employees on this new Emergency Response Plan and Emergency Evacuation Warden Procedures/Practices for this top-ranking Oil and Gas Company (683 pg. including maps and appendices.)

This newly implemented ERP was compliant to USDOT, EPA, NFPA 1600, Oil Pollution Act, OSHA 1910 and 1926 (and recommendation industry publications), ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 (including PSM/RMP regulatory requirements.) This ERP passed the external ISO 14001 with high praises from the auditor panel.

Assignments included Chair of DOT Committee’s Emergency Response Plans for 49 CFR 192/195 Compliance, and EHS Lead on the Montney’s Learnings Committee to ensure compliance with all H2S Contingency Plans to ensure they are up to date and valid. Tasked with reviewing Corporate EHS Policy and Procedures for accuracy, completeness, and provided revisions annually. Trained by Encana as an Internal ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Auditor, while implementing a new 14001 environmental plans, and was the Safety and Emergency Response Advisor to EHS Project Lead and EHS Vice President.

Supervised safety of multimillion-dollar industrial project with 550 employees on each Spread and multiple contractor. Established and maintained project-wide construction safety by contract, company safety manuals, and all local, state, and federal regulations. Monitored performance of contractors’ safety programs, provided training on safety aspects of the project and liaised with OSHA, fire, and police departments. Daily auditing of work areas is ensuring environment and safety compliance. Supervised USDOT drug and alcohol regulatory compliance.

Took the lead in scheduling and conducted meetings with project’s safety steering committee and coordinated development of Construction Safety and Health Plan.

Provided persuasive physical evidence, which resulted in a $1 million civil lawsuit and criminal traffic citations to be dismissed by the courts after furnishing detailed accident reconstruction, photographs, witness reports, and speed calculations of all drivers. This report and thorough reconstruction and investigation persuaded the District Attorney to drop all criminal charges against the company’s driver, which in turn resulted in the $1M+ Civil Lawsuit against the company and client to be dismissed.
