JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform Culture with Sensitivity procedures, Gram Staining and Acid Fast Bacilli staining in Microbiology section.
Rotates and performs routine and special clinical laboratory procedures in all sections of laboratory
Participates and perform National External Quality Assurance Scheme
Make and record scientific observations accurately, prepare and present scientific records, reports and observe safety precautions.
Maintain, troubleshoots and calibrates laboratory equipment to keep them in good condition for quality control and patient sample testing.
Assists Head of Laboratory, Chief Medical Technologist, Section Supervisor and even subordinates in day to day tasks in the laboratory.
Computes and Updates census and supplies.
Performs phlebotomy in time of difficult extractions of phlebotomist.
Monitors the Biosafety in the main clinical laboratory
