Major projects –
Loyalty Integration – After the merger of NWA & Delta Air Lines, their Frequent Flyer programs ‘WorldPerks’ & ‘SkyMiles’ were merged to become the largest Frequent Flyer program of the world. Existing WorldPerks system was modified and enhanced to accommodate the new requirements after the merger. Huge amount of data was analysed/filtered/modified and migrated/merged to the new system. New backend programs were written for several channels like Delta.com, CMS/RES, VRU/IVR, Shuttle, EDP, SNAPP etc.
Performed huge scale data migration and conversion using Batch jobs. Coded some of the most frequently used backend programs/services like Member login Activity Tracking/Account History, LoyaltyInfolite, RetrieveMemberInfo etc to be used by multiple channels like DELTA.COM, DeltaVacations.com, CMS/AXIS, SNAPP, DLTERM, IVR/VRU
EOS/RBMA (Revenue Based Mileage Accrual) – milestone project to convert existing distance (flown) based model to revenue based model. Number of new services/programs were added, most of the existing programs were modified.

The Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) carries out the Medicaid claims payment and Primary Care Case management administrator duties for State of Texas.
Currently a Medicaid provider can have multiple provider identifiers (TPIs for Texas Provider identifier for Texas’ providers) based on type, location and specialty. After the NPI implementation, all providers will have a unique id (NPI) irrespective of their type, location and specialty. This process needs all existing TMHP systems which currently use TPI to be enhanced/modified to handle the NPI.
My roles was to identify and request the data model changes to accommodate the NPI rules in the system and modifying existing programs, creating new programs based on the requirements. Attended HIPAA training.

NWA decided to sunset all FOCUS applications; used for reporting, database access, and decision support. All focus programs needed to be converted to other platforms and languages acceptable within the NWA technology architecture to achieve the same functionality as the existing FOCUS programs and reports. The Architecture proposes to use SAS and SAS/AF on Mainframe for all programs. .Net was used for internet based application. .Net shall initiate request for voluminous reports to be generated on mainframe using SAS. The project involves extensive data extraction and loading into DB2 tables.
It involved analysing existing focus programs and preparing program specification and detail design documents to convert the existing Focus programs into SAS.
