Supervise up to 40 warehouse team members and complete all required daily and weekly reports. Maintain an efficient and orderly workforce/operation.

·Develop and implement work process changes to increase productivity and streamline operations.

·Coordinate and communicate with department management as well as other functional areas to facilitate movement of parts throughout the system.

·Responded in a quick and efficient manner during a safety crisis and then implemented stocking procedures to ensure issue would not reoccur.

·Identified a major safety issue (leaking propane tank hose on forklift) in our facility and worked with all the appropriate departments to get issue resolved. Efforts led to improvements being made at other facilities (found three other faulty hoses just in the Charlotte market).

·Maintain time and attendance records as well as personnel files and performance records.

Selected to head a temporary assignment and oversaw the development and implementation of 22 separate projects that improved the safety and efficiency in the warehouse area.

Warehouse Distribution Specialist, 1994 – 1998

Worked in all areas of large warehouse/distribution center, including: shipping, receiving, order selection (manual and computer retrieval), kitting, tooling, and unserviceable parts processing.

·Appointed and served for seven years as Lead Shop Steward/liaison between management and line staff to facilitate conflict resolution.

·Identified a large amount of old aircraft carpeting that was obsolete and worked with Materials Planning to remove the carpeting from the warehouse, freeing up space.
