Assistant Engineer (December, 1981- December, 1986)

Working closely with Plant automation/Instrument engineers, electrical engineers, Process engineers, engineering technicians and IT staff to solve problems and keep Plant run smoothly. Responsible for maintenance of automation system for two production lines, 2000 t/d and 3000 t/d pre-heater cement plants. Repairing various industry electronic instruments and Testing, Trouble shooting of PLCs, BBC Procontic S and BBC Procontic DP800, UPS for main frame PDP11/23. Preventive maintenance and trouble shooting of MCC. Attend calls during off working hours for emergency plant shut down to help shift technicians.

Plan and implement maintenance schedule during scheduled shutdown of kiln, raw mills and cement mills.

Duties

•Provide Critical field service support on Plant automation and monitoring systems

(Maintenance, testing & commissioning, troubleshooting & repair)

•Provide maintenance service for Electrical Drives (BBC, DC drives) control system in plants e.g. ID Fans drives,

•Worked on Schienk, Hassler weigh feeders for raw mills, kilns and cement mills. Apply computer-assisted software for effective engineering solutions.

Worked on two Cement Plants capacity 3000 t/d and 10,000 t/d. Working closely with instrument engineers, electrical engineers, Process engineers, engineering technicians to ensure smooth trouble free Plant operation. Solve problems and give solution for repeating problem to minimize plant stoppage and to improve KPI within budget. Responsible for maintenance and trouble shooting of Electrical Drives (Siemens Master Drives from Siemens, for various plant sections and Testing, Commissioning and Installation of Industrial as well as commercial UPS on sites for MCC rooms.

Duties

•In 1987, Commissioned the 3000 t/d cement plant from Polysius Germany with POLTAKT II automation system supplied by Polysius. Later on in 2004,this system was upgraded to POLCID NT, This new system has Servers hp( Windows 2000NT), Rockwell software RS View,RS links, IPC Allen bradley with Rockwell software, RS Logix 5000, softlogix configured with SyCon on Hilscher for local I/O and DP/PA profibus communication.

•Provide Critical field service support for trouble shooting of IPCs, Siemens, Simatic S7 300,200 Subcontrol system, UPS and monitoring systems (maintenance, testing, troubleshooting & repair).

•In 2007, involved in commissioning of 10,000 t/d cement plant with Polysius of same configuration and got training in new Beckum, Germany from Polysius Engineers.

•Maintenance activities for Master Drives Parameter editing, downloading uploading.

•Creating logic and edit existing project RS Logix 5000, Simatic Step7, program for any new requirement asked by process engineer.

•Preparing all back up for servers, IPCs and operator clients on external hard disk, DVDs.

•Apply computer-assisted software for effective engineering solutions and designing.

•Calibration and troubleshooting of Hasler and Schink belt weigh feeders, solid flow meters.

•Online configuration of E&H temperature, pressure, level transmitter with softtool.
