Manufacturing Engineer Working with Safety
-Served as acting EHS manager for 3 months.
-Have received OSHA 30 hour certification
-Assisted in leading the EHS team in the effort to bring MPS Trenton
towards Mission Zero
-Helped update the Safety Orientation program including developing a
safety orientation manual for new hires and training new hires.
-Helped develop the Machine Guarding Program and helped to complete a
machine guarding audit. From this, new guarding is being added to
machinery in the facility.
-Assisted in a PPE assessment to ensure Trenton has the proper PPE for
the jobs being completed.
-Worked with EHS team and team members to determine which new gloves to
implement in Trenton. This included testing different gloves in
different areas of the plant and receiving feedback from team
members on these.
-Assisted in re-launching LOTOTO program and the completion of a LOTOTO
audit. Responsible for assigning locks to team members.
-Assisted in creating a monthly safety training program for all team
members to ensure all required training is completed
-Helped re-launched the Safety Observation and EHS committee programs
to increase team member involvement and begin tackling safety
issues before an injury occurs.
-Assisted in creating safety communication boards to be used during
morning meetings. These include a safety S, EHS toolbox talks,
Heinrich’s Triangle, and updated on any incidents.
-Assisted in creating a monthly safety training program for all team
members to ensure all required OSHA training is completed. Am
currently recording all training records to verify that training
is being completed and keep track of annual training.
-Helped developed Incident Kits as a one stop shop for managing the
aftermath of an incident. These include 1st aid kits, first
responder bags, blood spill kits, cleaning supplies
and barriers. Each supervisor received a camera and audio recorder
for the investigation process.
Operation Transformation Team Member
-Helped develop and implement a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) program for
the entire Trenton facility. This includes generating the JSA
forms, training people on how to complete them, ensuring the
project is on track, and working to fix any safety hazards found
through the process.
-Used JSA’s to begin writing work standards for all cells in the
Trenton facility.
JDA Implementation Team Member
-Helped implement the JDA Computer system in Trenton.
-Wrote procedures for the Shipping and Receiving Department and helped
train the team members working in this area.

rearrangement of the manufacturing floor to accommodate new

-Organized and relocated a Service Valve product line from New Haven,
IN to TN facility.
- Established and maintained Standard Operating Procedures for

- Removed waste from line by combining operations, rearranging

shifts to 6 for one shift. This led to a decrease in costs of
