To give day to day support and advice to the Infection Control Coordinator and Practitioners to assist in meeting the needs of the IC Service and Hospital.

To revise the yearly plan of the IC Service, prepared by the IC Coordinator, and makes necessary changes before submitting it to the CEO and to the IC Committee.

To recommend the appropriate general control measures for endemic and epidemic problems in the Hospital.

As a representative of the Hospital, to cooperate with local and national health agencies in the study, prevention and control of infection.

To serve as a liaison between the Infection Control Service and the Infection Control Committee.

To establish policies, surveys or regulations in the face of real or potential threats to the health and safety of patients and personnel.

B. National Experience:

1. EXPERIENCE IN PRIVATE SECTOR

a. Experience in N.G.O’s

I have worked in Caritas Pakistan International for 3 years. During this period I have worked in three Districts Mansehra, Abbottabad and Muzaffarabad. I started working here as a Team Leader and then promoted as training coordinator and then as a Unit Incharge Health Caritas Pakistan in Muzaffarabad Distt AJK. There I was In charge of Caritas office under which both Health and Livelihood teams were working.

Responsibilities during the job

During the job my responsibilities were:

1. To make monthly work plan for health teams

2. To arrange trainings on different health issues for the community and also for health staff.

3. To supervise the health office in Distt. Muzafferabad. 4. To supervise and manage health and livelihood teams residency. 5. To provide curative and preventive services in three areas of Distt. Muzaffarabad.

6. To attend weekly Distt Health surveillance meeting at Dho office Muzaffarabad chaired by DHO and UN.

7. To work in collaboration with UN and other agencies working on health in the area.

8. To write case studies on behalf of health and one of my case studies was published internationally in Caritas health journals throughout Europe and all countries where Caritas works.

9. To write monthly reports and submit it to main office 10. To supervise medicines store and to prepare annual medicine plan. b. PPHI : ( People Primary Healthcare Initiative). I worked in PPHI for almost four years. I was working as In charge. I was UPEC (Union Council Polio Eradication Campaign) Chairman in the UC. So during Polio Campaigns it’s my responsibility to supervise all the activities from making a micro plan to the monitoring of the teams in order to make sure that every child gets two drops of polio. Besides this I am a Master trainer in Polio and Measles to train Medical officers of the Distt.Mansehra about these diseases.

c. Crystal Hospital:

I have worked in Crystal Hospital for nearly one year since its inception. It was a recognized and fully equipped hospital. There I also worked in hospital administration and was a member of hospital governing body. d. Al-Shifa Hospital:

I have worked in Al-Shifa Hospital for six months. It is a recognize hospital. The hospital has its own OT, X-Rays, Ultra Sound, ECG, Medical Store and Pathology Lab. Here all kinds of orthopedic, general surgery and gynecological cases are being done by the specialist.

e. Teaching Experience:

I have worked as a lecturer for MPH program at Frontier Institute of Medical Sciences Abbottabad from Sept 2011 to September 2012. It was a wonderful experience to teach postgraduate students.

2. EXPERIENCE IN GOVERNMENT SECTOR:

A. House Job Experience:

I have done my house job of one year from Ayub Hospital Complex, Abbottabad. Which is a recognized teaching institute of Ayub Medical College Abbottabad. My house job was full time, residential and fully paid. My house job period is as under:

From 01-06-2000 to 30-11-2000S

ii. Surgery Department.

From 01-12-2000 to 31-05-2001

B. HOUSE JOB IN ONCOLOGY:

I also served in oncology unit of Ayub Hospital Complex Abbottabad. it was a new experience for me. I learned a lot to treat cancer patients. C. POST HOUSE JOB EXPERIENCE:

I worked as a Medical Officer in Ayub Medical Complex for 2 years from 01-07- 2001 to 31-07-2003. During this period I have gained considerable practicable experience and theoretical knowledge in dealing with the routine and emergency. D. Pathology Department of Ayub Medical College:

I have worked in specialty of pathology department of Ayub Medical College for six months. During this period I have gained considerable practical experience and theoretical knowledge in dealing with routine tests and emergency cases of all Pathology disciplines of the teaching hospital.
