Became Lieutenant of Company 4 (the Ambulance Company). Maintained the check book with the Department Treasurer. Reinforced the two-signature rule on all checks to prevent misuse of both Department and District funds.

Implemented better communication with the Company members (had one on one time with each member to allow them to freely speak of any issues or concerns). This helped resolve any issues they were having, without being put through the scrutiny of other company members.

Community Activities

Volunteer EMT with Montauk Fire Department for 24 years.

Founded East End Classics Foundation, dedicated to helping local families afflicted with cancer. Founded and organizes annually the Rell Sunn Surfing Memorial Benefit. This organization assists families that have overwhelming expenses that are from high medical bills. The organization also worked with local businesses to donate services to the families, such as lawn mowing, going to the grocery store, babysitting siblings, gas/service stations donating fuel for vehicles, as well as maintenance to family vehicles so they can get themselves to various medical appointments, etc. Volunteered at Little Flower Children Services teaching children with special needs the basics of cooking/budgeting.
