TATA MOTORS, ENGINE ASSEMBLY LINE OF HEAVY VEHICLE MAY 2018 – JUNE 2018

The workers working on the assembly line there has to pick up the parts which they were suppose to fit in the engine at there respective station from the rack beside and then were suppose to find the right nuts and bolt to fitted from there only. I found that it was a bit time consuming. So i come with an idea that if we design a rack on the assembly line which will move with the engine carrying the specified parts, nuts and bolts which are to be fitted on the particular station it will be easy for the worker to put them together as it only contains that parts which are suppose to be fitted in that station and it will save the time which will result in increasing the production speed.
