I have been a licensed massage therapist since 1983, with a background in psychology, bio-chemistry, sales and marketing, and two years as a New York City taxicab driver.

When I first read the headlines, somewhere around 1988, that Africa was an Eden for Aids because African men were sodomizing green monkeys, my eyebrows automatically raised up to the "this is outrageous," silent commentary position. However, not being at risk, since AIDS was considered the"gay disease," I continued on with my occupations and avocations.

A year later, I visited a colleague of mine who had just opened an acupuncture office in Miami Beach. On his reception room wall was taped an article from the University of Berkeley, California, newspaper. An award-winning professor of retro-viral cancer research was quoted in the article as challenging the "science" that the human immunodeficiency virus [HIV] was the sole cause of this new "epidemic" called auto-immune deficiency syndrome.

As an adjunct to my vocation, I then decided to learn more about the science and media reporting cloaking AIDS. In my massage practice, I had clinically observed men and women who had "flunked" the AIDS test. These formerly happy, up-beat people were now experiencing roller-coaster thought-waves: terror, depression, abortion, suicide, mania, guilt, anhedonism, despondency, embarrassment. However, most of the people who had not yet begun a course of medical therapies had passed my visual and tactile assessment skills: they mostly appeared well-muscled and had good skin tone.

I began asking doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory workers, AIDS hotline staff: what is their opinion of the validity of the AIDS test. Firstly, the consensus was that any blood test was, at best, an indicator of a certain condition, requiring additional testing. Specifically, I wanted to know if an HIV antibodies test indicated that a person has AIDS. Surprisingly, most said, "No." All that the ELISA indicated was simply whether or not an individual had antibodies to HIV. So, if a person had HIV antibodies, did that mean that they had AIDS?

"No," most agreed. An HIV test result can not distinguish between the presence of antibodies while fighting an active infection from passive antibody production. One pharmacist used the analogy that most of us had antibodies to measles and tetanus, yet most of us grown-ups did not have measles nor lock-jaw.

Concurrent with my inquiries into AIDS, I began reading and researching about the over-use of antibiotics and the unrecognized pool of intestinal parasites in the general population. Apparently, pharmaceuticals were actually speeding up the evolution of drug- resistant microbes. Mutant bacteria were continually surviving the newest and strongest anti-bacterial drugs. Not only were these "super bugs" free to replicate, but their effects on our bodies were also

"evolving."

For example, one medical researcher [Joan McKenna, PhD] had studies indicating that what was being labelled herpes genitalis was in reality the new form of primary syphilis. This may explain why "herpes is forever," and why AIDS patients were dying: both diseases are assumed to be caused by viruses, and anti-virals are prescribed. Yet, if the new clinical theory is correct, both diseases share common origins: super bacterial strains. Thus, anti-virals would have no therapeutic effect other than placebo.

If we add up all the adverse reactions and side effects of anti-viral therapies [you may look at The Physician’s Desk Reference at any library for any medication], plus the deleterious effects of drug-resistant bacteria, plus systemic parasite infestation [misdiagnosed as "Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome"], we may conclude that what is neatly being packaged as an "AIDS" epidemic may actually be a

"Darwinian cocktail" that constantly dares our slower-to-change immune system to the ultimate challenge: survival of the fittest. In lieu of lapsing into a "re-arranging the deck-chairs on the Titanic" mentality, "God’s Gay Retribution", or government conspiracy theories, may I invite you and your loved ones to find renewed hope and inspiration in the power of the human body, mind, imagination, and your right to choose medical and alternative therapies. The HIV Test

1) "The decision to be tested for HIV does not assure accurate laboratory results."

2) "Influenza vaccine have false positive test results for HIV infection." 3) up to 70% of the ELISA test results are false positives." 4) A woman tested HIV+ 10 times in 4 months before finally testing negative on the eleventh test.

5) "There is no test available to identify when HIV antibody production was initiated. It could be 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years ago The ELISA and Western Blot do not differentiate between active and passive antibody production."

6) "Tests for HIV antibody do not distinguish between passively transferred antibody and antibody the child generates against infection - and because passively transferred antibody has been seen to persist in children for up to 15 months - a positive antibody test by itself is not diagnostic of HIV infection."

7) "I don’t believe it exists [AIDS ‘running rampant’ in Africa They got some big numbers for HIV+ people before they realized that antibodies to malaria - which everyone in Africa has - show up as ‘HIV+’ on tests." 8) "Be extremely suspicious of ‘cure’ claims or claims that HIV+ patients have become HIV- as a result of treatment. Since the HIV test detects antibodies to the disease, a patient would remain HIV+ for years even if the virus were eliminated from the body."

9) "If cysteine [an amino acid] is added to a culture medium that is growing cells for virus production, these cells will not manufacture the

‘virus This test presents the most clear conclusion that the AIDS

[ELISA-HIV] test is only an indicator of an on-going amino acid imbalance in the body."

10) "Dr. Max Essex of Harvard University School of Public Health. a highly respected AIDS expert, found that the Western Blot gave a positive result to some 85% of African patients later found to be HIV negative. Eventually, he and his researchers discovered that proteins from the leprosy germ, which infects millions of Africans, can show up as a false positive on both ELISA and Wesrtern Blot, as can malaria.

"Being ‘positive’ can bar you from insurance, employment, marriage or even entry into [or out of] another country. The HIV [false-positive] test can also launch many healthy patients on the inexorable road to ‘just-in- case’ AIDS treatments with drugs whose considerable, even life- threatening, side effects bear uncanny resemblance to the list of symptoms doctors describe in HIV infection or full-blown AIDS." AZT/Zidovudine/Retrovir Background

11) "AZT causes HIV to mutate and to produce AZT-resistant strains." 12) "After 4 years, and a billion tax dollars, the national effort [War against AIDS] is monopolized by one drug - and one company. In 1985, a giant British pharmaceutical firm called Burroughs-Wellcome [now Glaxo] pulled an old compound out of its stockroom. It was an extract from... herring sperm. Originally developed in 1964 as a possible cancer treatment, it was discarded as too toxic."

Side Effects of AZT/Retrovir/Zidovudine

13) Bone marrow suppression [necessitating blood transfusions], myalgia [muscle pain], pancreatitis, changes in skin and nail color. leukopenia [decrease of white blood cells], anemia, nausea and vomiting, dyspnea [difficult breathing], hepatitis, insomnia, paresthesia

[sensation of skin ‘ crawling’ from partial nerve damage], anorexia. The "Epidemic"

14) Annual conversion rate of HIV+ to AIDS in the United States is 1- 1.5%. At this rate it would take 75-100 years for all current HIV+’s to die of AIDS.

15) Accidental US needlestick cases are 1 in 400 [0.25%]. This is direct inoculation of "HIV-infected" blood, and the conversion rates to AIDS are lower than the general population.

16) Haiti’s conversion rate is 0.1%, or, 1000 years for current HIV+’s to die from AIDS. It is 10x safer for HIV+’s to live in Haiti than the United States.

17) United States Heart Disease deaths = 750,000

Cancer deaths = 450,000

Medical-Induced [Iatrogenic] deaths = 125,000

AIDS deaths = 12,000

The AIDS Vaccine

18) A new vaccine will take several years to test. New AIDS cases will continue to appear. The new vaccine will be assumed to be ineffective, because "new’ strains of HIV will be discovered. More research for a better AIDS vaccine will cost more tax dollars. [Repeat ad infinitum.] 19) In 1984,Robert Gallo, head of the United States National Institutes for Health, promised that an AIDS vaccine would be available by 1986. 20) "The social stigma that often accompanies AIDS could extend to volunteers in AIDS vaccine trials. Researchers at the St. Louis University School of Medicine estimate that 10% [and higher] of volunteers may get a false-positive result on future HIV tests even though they are virus-free. The researchers are concerned that the volunteers may face discrimination, denial of insurance, and other problems [depression, suicide, unnecessary medications]." Other AIDS Origins

21) "Strecker [Robert Strecker, MD] said, ‘But there’s no doubt in my mind that someone could have deliberately or accidentally sabotaged the [experimental Hepatitis B] vaccine trials in the late 1970’s [utilizing healthy homosexual male volunteers in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles]. I’m pretty sure that’s how AIDS was introduced into the gay community."

22) "In the mid-1970’s, homosexual men [volunteers for research] started taking a live polio vaccine carrying simian [monkey] retroviruses that were not recognized [at that time] to be harmful." 23) The May 11, 1987 edition of the London Times contained an explosive headline, "Smallpox Vaccine Triggered AIDS Virus...the World Health Organization [WHO] Was Responsible for Unleashing AIDS in Africa."

24) "Pot and poppers [amyl nitrate] could bring risk of AIDS." 25) "Intestinal [parasite] infections and malnutrition initiate AIDS." 26) "Recreational drugs: relationship to AIDS."

27) "Unmasking AIDS: Chemical immuno-suppression and sero- negative syphilis."

28) "The clinical signs and symptoms associated with AIDS have already been markers for third-stage syphilis for over a century: sore throat, swollen glands, flu-like symptoms, night sweats, kidney malfunction, enlarged spleen, hepatitis, Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia, Kaposi’s sarcoma, neuro-dementia, and destruction of the thymus gland."

29) "The so-called viral cause [of AIDS] was by pronouncement only, and imposed upon us by an all-powerful cartel which controls the media, our government, and our medical system."

30) "In 1984, the New England Journal of Medicine published an article and an editorial about a study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia. This experiment established a link between the use of antibiotics in animal feed and the transmission of antibiotic- resistant micro-organisms to humans who ate meat." 31) "By introducing large quantities of these drugs [antibiotics] into the environment, we have drastically altered the ecology of microbes and unwittingly given a selective advantage to resistant bacteria, according to Stuart Levy, MD, a professor at Tufts University Medical School." 32) "In my experience, I have not seen an AIDS patient that did not have a history of problematic use of alcohol and drugs ever - not one. The flip side is that I have never seen an AIDS patient in long-term recovery who is continuing to use alcohol and drugs." 33) "I propose that AIDS is not a contagious syndrome The correlation between AIDS and such risk factors as habitual administration of Factor VIII to hemophiliacs, blood transfusions, acute parasitical infections, chronic malnutrition, chronic drug use - each for an average of 8 years, is 95%. Since AIDS correlates with antibody to a retrovirus, confirmed in about 40% of American cases... this analysis suggests that AIDS prevention efforts be concentrated on AIDS risks rather than on the transmission of HIV."

34) "Chemical [environmental, pharmaceutical, recreational] immune- suppression, malnutrition, bacterial infections, parasites, and/or

[mutated] syphilis are the common medical histories in virtually 100% of all full-blown AIDS/ARC cases."

Pregnancy and AIDS

35) "477 [pregnant] women had been enrolled [in a research study to advise the Food and Drug Administration on the ‘positive’ uses for AZT/Zidovudine who test HIV Six women discontinued therapy because of toxicity attributed to the drug [AZT]." 36) "Potential long-term toxicity [of AZT/ZDV] include potential mutagenic and carcinogenic effects, possible effects on tissue with high mitochondrial content such as hepatic and cardiac tissue, possible teratogenicity [malformations of the fetus] and possible effects on the reproductive system [of the fetus]."

37) "ZDV [AZT] is assigned pregnancy category C status by the Food and Drug Administration...in which safety in human pregnancies has not been determined, animal studies are either positive for fetal risk or have not been conducted."

38) T-cell depletion is a normal function of pregnancy. T-cell levels return to normal by the 3rd trimester.

39) "Risks associated with Pregnancy in HIV-infected Women: women should be informed that currently there is no evidence of a deleterious effect of pregnancy and child-birth on the progression of early HIV infection."

Adrenal Gland Hormones AIDS Factors

40) "Cortisol, a powerful immunosuppressor adrenal cortex hormone, manufactured in elevated levels under HIV stimulus...is becoming the major cause of immunosuppression in AIDS and not the AIDS virus itself Cortisol, by itself, can induce all the immune changes, opportunistic infections, and cancers encountered in AIDS." 41) "Ms. Kaye’s limpness, lethargy, nausea and weight loss were all characteristics of the last stages of AIDS - but they were also symptoms commonly resulting when the adrenal glands stop making enough...hormones.Thirty-six hours later [after receiving adrenal hormones] she was sitting up, eating her breakfast.The next day, she signed out of the hospital. [The medical director said,] ‘You know we all thought she was a goner. We told the family to call a funeral director, to get everything prepared. We did the death counselling with her, with the kids I guess we were a little premature."

HIV is not the Cause of AIDS

42) "AIDS is not a viral disease but a metabolic disorder The DNA/RNA fragments [of damaged and dying cells are mis-classified as the different viruses of AIDS. [These fragments are] a product of cysteine shortage in the body [resulting in a] devastating amino acid pool imbalance that kills the patients, not the HIV particle." 43) "HIV can’t be the cause of a fatal disease because it is so inactive. In fact, HIV is found in far more healthy humans than sick humans." 44) "PCR [polymerase chain reaction] has made it easier to see HIV, but human beings are full of retroviruses, and neither HIV nor any other retrovirus poses any kind of threat, which is not to say that there’s no such thing as AIDS - only that HIV doesn’t cause it." 45) "AIDS is 95% mis-diagnosis. The other 5% I am still researching." 46) "Studies of gay men and intravenous drug abusers show that the average time from infection to overt AIDS is 10 years. If HIV alone controlled AIDS, then about half of the people infected with AIDS in 1983 should have developed AIDS in 1993. Yet this is not true of hemophiliacs. Of the 15,000 hemophiliacs in the US who were infected with HIV between 1981- 84... only 1,500 cases... 10% of those infected, have been recorded. If anything proves that HIV does not control the development of AIDS, this is it," Root-Bernstein [MD] said. 47) "The marketing of HIV, through press releases and statements, as a killer virus causing AIDS without the need for any other factors, has so distorted research and treatment that this may have thousands of people to suffer and die."

Questions for Physicians and Alternative Health Care Practitioners 48) What is your success rate during the past 5 years in keeping your HIV+ patients symptom-free?

49) Can HIV tests be affected by fever, pharmaceutical drugs, flu vaccines, malaria, pregnancy, syphilis, or environmental toxins? 50) Why do more than 20% of full-blown AIDS patients test HIV-? 51) What are all the contraindications and adverse side effects of the therapies that you are recommending?

52) What are the short-term, intermediate and long-term risks of blood transfusions?

53) Is there a test that can show if I have been exposed to a harmless strain of HIV?

54) Can ELISA and Western Blot tests differentiate between active and passive antibody production?

55) Will you allow me time between diagnosis and treatment to make up my own mind about what course of action to take?

56) Is there a safe alternative therapy for Kaposi’s sarcoma? 57) What safe and natural mood elevators can you recommend? 58) Do you refer out to chelation therapy to remove environmental toxins?
