To Whom it May Concern,

I wanted to share my experience with Shawn Wheeler in regard to operations at Banner University Medical Center Tucson. Shawn joined our team several months ago as a project manager for our new tower activation. Shawn completely revamped and organized the operations of this IT piece. When she came, the team was not coordinating, and it was unclear which team would have responsibility to do necessary tasks for activation. Shawn had multiple meetings, kept detailed minutes and truly brought all players to the table. We successfully had commitments to timelines and move day support. Shawn has scheduled all the go/no go calls, organized them and kept us on track. She has opened and run the command center daily for each move.

I have been impressed by Shawn’s ability to organize a project and establish well defined tracking metrics. She has held multiple teams accountable that do not report to her. She has successfully negotiated multiple team cooperation with very tight deadlines. She led an effort to renumber our entire hospital. This was accomplished over a four-day period and we did not have glitches in our billing or registration.

Shawn has run the command center for every move, followed up on any potential barriers to remove and tracked all issues for resolution during each move. She has been invaluable to our Tucson team and the success we have experienced in moving our entire tower in. Shawn has demonstrated excellent operation skills during this project.

Sincerely,

Joni Raneri

Letter of recommendation:

Shawn Ann Wheeler

It is my pleasure to provide a letter of recommendation for Shawn. I have worked with her since 2015 on many occasions within Banner, initially creating and then opening hospice programs at no fewer than eight hospitals. The program was initially a de novo program that frankly could not have occurred or proceeded without Shawn’s expertise, guidance and leadership.

Each time we presented and initiated the program in a new hospital Shawn was immediately engaged and organized. She kept the process moving along in areas deep within Banner which was critical to the success of the program.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Shawn. As she moves forward with her career my only regret is, I may not have future opportunities to work with her as we expand the Banner Hospice Inpatient program in additional hospitals.

Respectfully,

To Whom It May Concern,

I have had the pleasure of working with Shawn Wheeler, both as a peer and as a customer, for eight years. She has proven herself to be accountable, responsible and a “hand-raiser”, taking on a variety of large, complex and challenging projects. Shawn has led the IT and Operational readiness components for nearly 15 BMG clinics across multiple states, as well as leading the IT components for acute-care facilities such as Fort Collins, BUMCP and BUMCT Tower projects and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center – Phoenix.

While Shawn is goal-oriented, she also builds and maintains great working relationships with her teams. This is due in part to her tremendous communication skills and her willingness to lead in often ambiguous, tight-timeline situations. Her teams know that they can count on her and her leadership to guide them through successful completion of the projects.

Shawn’s willingness to take on new, challenging projects as well as her desire to continue her education is an inspiration. I admire her commitment and dedication for continuous improvement, personally and professionally.

Respectfully,

Kelly Lindner
