EXPERIENCE

Winter Intern, Hinduja Technology Private Limited December 2018 Worked on Ansys Workbench and Analyzed Different Projects Namely Bike Handle, Name Plates, Side Stand, etc.

Learned about Meshing, Contacts, and behavior of the above mentioned Bike parts under different load conditions.

Worked closely on the stress and strain behaviors of the bike parts Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification by Course Era in November 2020 1. Six Sigma Principles

2. Six Sigma Tools for Define and Measure

PROJECTS

Major Projects:

(1) DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING OF PROSTHETIC ARM BY

FEA STUDY.

A thorough analysis was done on the design of the bionic arm as a cheaper alternative than currently available options. Software FUSION 360 is used to model and analyze the detailed design of the Bionic Arm. The analysis included force analysis on the structure of the bionic arm. A design case has been successfully addressed resulting in a fully functional Bionic arm. Alongside a detailed sustainability report has been attached to show the effect of environmental factors on the bionic arm.

(2) DESIGNING OF 3D CAD MODEL OF THE PROSTHETIC ARM A 3D cad model of the arm was prepared by using Fusion 360 software and later it was analyzed for different load conditions by using ANSYS WORKBENCH and observed results were recorded. The design consists of four moving fingers driven by a single link and a static thumb. The fingers are coupled together following a whipped tree configuration. It has been analyzed to have a grasping force of 10N. Also, it is notorious as well that the friction at the unions was neglected in the calculations, so the real torque to achieve the force with the required magnitude would be higher. The field stress for the analyzed full assembly model was observed as the greatest value obtained based on the Von Mises yield criterion and had a magnitude of 13. 095Mpa.The design was further modified by adding fillets in corners and at stress concentrated areas. The new maximum stress was calculated as 8.8557Mpa.

(3) MANUFACTURING OF THE PROSTHETIC ARM

The manufacturing part was carried out with the help of the 3D Printing Technique. The manufacturing was done by keeping in mind the following basic requirement: Basic requirements are suggested as:

1. Body-powered control

2. Adaptive grasp

3. Cosmetics

4. Low weight

5. Waterproof and dustproof

Minor Projects:

(1). DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF PROSTHETIC ARM BY

FUSION 360 AND ANSYS WORKBENCH

(2) Study the Behavior of the Arm by applying different load conditions

(3) ABS PLASTIC and NYLON 6 material was used in the designing process

(4) Sustainability report of the full bionic arm was carried out keeping the base reference as ABS. The Bionic arm was built to last at least 1year and the sustainability analysis was carried out for 3 years of product usage. The result came out to be 85% more consumption of resources when Nylon 6 was used than ABS.

SOFTWARE’S

MS Office, AutoCAD, Solid Works, Ansys workbench, FUSION 360.
