Work Experience
Bookkeeper
Hobby Lobby
October 2012 to Present
Count and balance safe daily. Prepare tills to open for business. Oversee all cashier activity as well as make sure there are no mistakes made with discounts for the store. On top of my bookkeeping duties, I am a department lead in paper crafting.
Other responsibilities are answering multiple phone lines as well as ordering, organizing and unloading and putting away freight. I follow up with rain checks every week to ensure they are picked up in a timely manner. Once a month I do finish the ledger and also have to perform a self-audit to ensure compliance at the corporate level.
Assistant Manager
Professional Finishes - Spokane, WA
November 2008 to September 2012
Answering multi-line phones, taking orders, customer service including paint matching efforts. Other tasks were dispatching drivers to deliver paint to numerous body shops throughout Spokane. I was responsible for taking orders, pulling supplies and making sure the orders were delivered in a timely manner. Dealing with walk in customers was one of my favorite things about working for Professional Finishes. I was sad when I was let go, but unfortunately the economy was struggling and mot many people were buying high end paint.
