JOB PROFILE

Perform a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks. Also to perform routine and delegated duties based on departmental policies.

To operate as part of the anesthesia team by assisting the anesthesiologist and the administration and maintenance of general and regional anesthesia, by maintaining, calibrating, and trouble shooting the various equipment used, and by stocking and maintaining par levels of all anesthesia supplies and drugs.

Assist anesthesiologists by aseptic or sterile technique with non-invasive and invasive patient procedures including peripheral and central intravenous, PAP Catheter and arterial line placement, pressure transducer technique, airway management techniques includes mask, endotracheal and emergency methods.

Prepares, disinfects, and check all anesthesia-related equipments and weekly sterilization of Operation Theatre as per the quality guidelines provided by Infection Control.

As a facilitator for other learners and other health care team members by providing technical guidance and instruction as appropriate.
