Handle Disciplinary hearings in the various sub-divisions in the company

POSITION LABOUR RELATIONS OFFICER & ASSISTANT SHE OFFICER
The Key Perfomances :
As Labour Relations Officer
-Cooperate with the IR Officer who will facilitate formal disciplinary cases and grievances in terms of the Disciplinary Code and Grievance Procedures, taking cognisance of the need to be substantively and procedurally fair.
-Advise supervisors, managers and employees on the appropriate actions to take in dealing with grievances and / or disciplinary actions.
-Conduct, analyse and suggest solutions for all grievance and complaints, received from employees and the company.
-Assist with preparation for formal hearings, and any subsequent appeals as and when instructed.
-Inform the employee of his/her right to appeal, and of the deadline for the receipt of appeal points.
-Mediate discussions between employer and employee representatives in attempt to reconcile differences.
-Give feedback on daily progress of all disciplinary cases, and report to Senior HR Manager.
As SHE Assistant Officer
-Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health
-Support the development of OHS policies and programs
-Advice and instruct on various safety related topics, (Noise levels, Covid 19 compliance and Machinery)
-Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non conformity (e.g not using PPE)
-Record and investigate incidents to determine causes of the incidents
-Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
-Establish a full programme of documented health & safety inspections, audits and checks keep up to date will all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the business.
-Ensure that cleaning and housekeeping standards on equipment and work areas are maintained according to laid down standards and norms
-Ensure personal hygiene standards are maintained
-Assist in issuing of PPE and kept records systems on the documentation and on the PC.
-Take reasonable care of own health and safety as well as the health and safety of others.
-Conduct the risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
