Personal Statement
I started as a trainee Traffic Management Operative in 2002 and through training, self development and dedication I worked my way to becoming a 12A Foreman where I continued my development and became a Traffic Safety Control Officer. I also have experience working in an office environment as a Traffic Management Manager, where I gained strong communication and organisation skills in the Traffic Management Industry.
Skills
Communication
I am able to communicate with a variety of people ranging from clients, contractors, local authorities, emergency services and traffic management personnel. My communication skills i think have been proven since i arrived here in Middle East where my workforce consists of a variety of nationalities Vietnamese,Bangladesh,Indian and Philippine and we always achieve our deadlines.
Teamwork
I have worked as part of a team in a busy office, sometimes under great pressure where flexibility and initiative are essential. When out in the road I lead a Traffic Management Team working under pressure to ensure the Traffic Management Layout was installed safely and on time by the method statement and Traffic Management Drawings and to Chapter 8 standards (UK) and WZTMG (QATAR).
Training
During my time as a Traffic Management Manager and 12A Foreman, I was responsible for the inductions and training matrix for of all new employees. I also arranged training assessments to be carried out by a qualified Lantra Assessor. During any job there is one untrained individual included in the Traffic Management Crew whose training was undertaken by myself on a one to one basis. I recommended to the Traffic Management Manager all personnel who was suitable for advanced training and Lantra Assessments.
