Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering – In-progress New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology CGPA : 3.6/4.0 Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering – 2018 New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology CGPA : 3.35/4.0 Awarded the New Mexico Space Grant through NASA’s Space Grant Consortium EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Stolle Machinery, Centennial, CO

Mechanical Assembler - Current

Orchestrate technical support in designing, building, and assembling Decorator machines. Worked in a close-knit team to understand and solve design issues in a fast pace environment. Assemble and build every component to the machines with precision and within tight tolerances. New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Socorro, NM Engineering Student - Design and Optimization of a Hybrid Fixed-Wing Drone for Planetary Exploration, 2018 – 2020

Orchestrated technical support in designing, building, and field testing an innovative hybrid fixed wing UAV with detachable multirotor drones, including designing a UAV that can fly in Martian atmosphere with two multirotors that dock on the underside of the drone. Designed a mechanical attachment mechanism which used an electromagnet along with a 3D printable claw to grab the multirotor drones and reel them into the fixed wing UAV, using a thermal imaging camera and a Raspberry Pi for a sensing system for docking.

Successfully developed an innovative hybrid drone for Mars exploration.

Designed a mechanical attachment mechanism and attained a grant from NASA.

KEY PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Socorro, NM Steinhoff Prosthetic Research Initiative, 2017 – 2018 Successfully created a high functioning 3-D printable prosthetic hand for an NMT alumna while leading and managing a team of ten students. Held bottom line accountability for managing mechanical design, control, actuation, and force miography sensing of the prosthetic. Developed an actuation and control method for operating the hand; developed a system connecting servo motors to finger linkages using a pulley system.

Designed an innovative prosthetic hand with a unique finger design to house the pulley system, consisting of developing an arm band with an array of 10 force sensors to control motion of servo motors, while working closely with students.

Developed a machine learning algorithm to teach the arm band which sensors on the band were linked to the movement in muscles on a person’s arm.

Performed all 3-D printing tasks related to the prosthetic hand. Developed a method for opening and closing hand using different material and orchestrated all troubleshooting techniques for printer. New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Socorro, NM Biomedical Mechatronics, 2018

Developed a high functioning robotic arm with an autonomous motion system. Designed the hand in SolidWorks to mimic the “Infinity Gauntlet” from Marvel’s Avengers movies. The hand was 3D printed using various types of material to have different mechanical and aesthetic capabilities.

The arm won a competition for best design, most accurate grip, and most stable robotic arm. New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Socorro, NM Haptics, 2019

Developed a haptic feedback system to help visually impaired individuals distinguish different objects based on the color. Successfully developed an image processing algorithm using a color threshold to determine the amount of Red Green and Blue in an object using a camera. Used an auditory command to alert user of type of object, an Ultrasonic sensor alerted the distance from the object, and an array of vibrating motors helped determine location of object.
