Senior Technical Support Manager, Global Remanufacturing

Remotely led the development and management of GE Transportation global remanufacturing project launches. Traveled up to 50% in planning and implementing remanufacturing projects for global locations including Kazakhstan, China, UK, Brazil and Indonesia. These efforts resulted in $6.4 million in service agreement cost saved in Kazakhstan. Over $9.3 million in savings were realized in China. Developed training programs for remanufacturers, documented 50+ remanufacturing processes, prepared 6 proposals for major new remanufacturing projects, assessed potential remanufacturers, worked with GE product and process engineering to develop specific IP for remanufacturing processes. GE INTERNATIONAL, Yogyakarta, Indonesia 1/2015 – 7/2017

Senior Remanufacturing Leader

Created strategy and drove the implementation of remanufacturing operations at PTKAI’s (PT Kereta Api Indonesia) railway backshop. Provided day-to-day oversight and support. Developed and managed remanufacturing of all major GE and non-GE locomotive components (Diesel engines, alternators, traction motors, blower motors, fuel systems, turbochargers, radiator fans, gearboxes, engine components, combo's, electronic control units and others). This resulted in $12.6 million in sales for the Service Agreement.

Acted as single source of technical expertise by coordinating responses from global engineering experts.

Managed the tollgate and production part approval process (PPAP) process for over 100 individual components and complete locomotive & engine systems.

Specified, quoted, evaluated, ordered over $1.5 million worth of equipment.

Created and managed $2 million budget for tools, equipment and pool parts.

Leveraged a matrixed, multinational, multicultural organization of sourcing managers, engineers, materials management leaders, quality engineers, training leaders and others across the GE business.

Proactively communicated with customer regarding equipment renewal and installation.

Supported regional remanufacturing operations and project launches in Vietnam, Australia, and China.

GE TRANSPORTATION, Hanover Park, IL 6/2011 – 1/2015

Senior Project Management Leader, Engine Remanufacturing

Managed GE engine and engine component remanufacturing project launches outside of the US.

NAVISTAR, Downers Grove, IL 4/2007 – 6/2011

Program Manager, Engine Remanufacturing

Responsible for all remanufacturing projects dealing with Navistar engines and engine components; maintaining and improving existing products and developing new remanufactured engine and component product offerings.

Directed diverse teams of supplier project managers, Navistar product engineers, quality engineers, purchasing managers and product managers.

Worked as the single point interface between customer, supplier and Navistar resolving engineering and commercial issues for remanufactured engine and engine component service product offerings.

Developed the Program Manager position and standardized systems based on proven protocols and extensive experience leading projects in the automotive field. This required developing new partnership relationships with Navistar’s lead remanufacturing supplier, Caterpillar.

Created new design for remanufactured fuel injection control modules that created +$10 million in annual sales of remanufactured product while reducing warranty costs by +$2 million annually.

Brought automotive quality standards to remanufactured Diesel engines and components through the automotive PPAP process. Demanded and created increased quality in current product offerings by increasing communication between supplier and OE engineering, quality and reliability teams.

Drove reduced cost into service components by creating remanufactured alternatives or using the possibility of remanufacturing to leverage suppliers to lower their cost.
