Analyze and classify local positions in a timely manner using MClass software while ensuring compliance with current position management and classification regulations, policies and procedures established by the Department of State (DOS), Office of Overseas Employment (HR/OE) and Uniform Service Standards (USS). Provide advice to relevant personnel on regulations and procedures regarding local position management and classification issues, including providing assistance with preparing position descriptions.

Review position descriptions and other relevant documentation for completeness and conformity with regulatory requirements. Review position descriptions in accordance with position classification standards established and maintained by HR/OE.

Solicit additional information by providing job discussion help sheets (JDHS) to supervisors and jobholders, review completed JDHS, formulate questions, interview supervisors, jobholders, and/or others as necessary to gain full understanding of positions.

Analyze and evaluate positions by completing the job evaluation questionnaire (JEQ) in the MClass software on the basis of the JDHS and information gathered during interview.
