Internships

KPTCL (Karnataka power transmission corporation limited): July 2019 – Aug 2019.

Learned and explored single line diagram of substation. Got practical knowledge of every equipment used in the substation. Learned the process of current flow from PGCIL stepped down to KPTCL which is later transmitted to BESCOM, which finally reaches our home.

Projects

Underground Cable Fault Detection using Arduino: Sep 2019 – Jul 2020 The main objective of this project is to determine the faulty location of underground wire from base station in kilometers using arduino board. Many time fault occurs due to construction work, etc and it becomes difficult to detect the faulty location of wires. Currently existing system detects fault upto 4 Kms only. Worked on his project to detect fault in wires easily upto 25 Kms without even digging the ground. To get the practical aspect and results, configured and coded an arduino board in embedded C.

Technical seminar

Solar power from space is the concept of collecting solar power in space for use on Earth. Solar power from space would differ from current solar collection methods where, the means used to collect energy would reside on an orbiting satellite instead of on Earth's surface. Some projected benefits of such a system are a higher collection rate and a longer collection period due to the lack of a diffusing atmosphere and night time in space. Part of the solar energy (55-60%) is lost on its way through the atmosphere by the effects of reflection and absorption. Space-based solar power systems convert sunlight to microwaves outside the atmosphere, avoiding these losses, and the downtime due to the Earth's rotation.
