Duties & Responsibilities:

Performed inspection on erection and installation of pre fabricated line. Check visual and dimensional inspection of materials, check correctness of the description & size of pipe, fittings and supports indicated in the detailed engineering drawing, check the fit-up, alignment, edge preparation, welding allowance & tolerances etc based on standards and client requirement.

Check welding activities conformance to the approved welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welder qualification record (WQR). Performed material inspection, consumable inspection, check equipment and accessories.

Prepared of Quality Plans according to Inspection Test Plan. Reviewed method statement and Inspection Test Plan with respect to project specification.

Carried out Inspection activities in accordance with Inspection and Test Plan.

Reviewed welding procedure specifications (WPS) with relevant Procedure Qualification Test (PQR) prior to start of welding activities at site.

Maintaining WPS, PQR and WQT used by the contractors and keep updating. Closely monitoring the weekly weld repair rate of each welder joint basis & linear basis.

Preparation of Job Clearance Card (JCC) for the welding operators. Inspect joint preparation, joint configuration, cleanliness and preheat temperature as per WPS.

Visual examination of welded joints root passes, penetration, excessive reinforcement, undercut, cracks and porosity.

Inspecting the prefabrication works by the subcontractors including the inspection of incoming materials, material handling, heat number transfer, fit-up, welding activities, PWHT of welding joints, Hardness test, PMI.

Ensure satisfactory identification of materials, proper protection of piping and fittings. Verify proper size and schedule of pipe, proper rating and face of flanges.

Ensure that pipe supports, hangers and guides have been installed in accordance with the piping drawings and the pipe supports details. Monitoring the QA/QC documentation of contractors and ensure that all the activities are incorporated to their system on daily basis and can be traced according to our requirements.

Issuing NCR’s when the contractors noted non-conformity activities. Witness final pressure tests, including verification that pressure gauges have adequate dial range and is calibrated. Verify that the testing pressure does not exceed the allowable pressure of any equipment on the system. Verify that the required test pressure was maintained for the specified length of time without any leakage.

Confirm repairs, re-testing and re-inspection in accordance with the specifications. Ensure blinds removed and correct gaskets are installed. Verification of closed punched items and conduct walkthrough for each completed piping system prior to mechanical acceptance. Monitoring the QA/QC Documentation of the subcontractors and ensure that all the activities are incorporated to their system on daily basis and can be traced according to our requirements.

Inspected all type of materials like CS, SS, Duplex,P4,P34,P43, P45, Dissimilar metals etc.

Witness of alignment, orientation and dimensions of installed piping. Monitor PWHT and verification of PWHT reports with respect to procedures and specifications.

Coordinating with client/consultants while the inspection is being carried out and offer any clarification is required.

Line checking through isometric drawing and P&ID.
