(San Francisco, CA) Sept.2019 – present Director and Senior Corporate Counsel, Global Data Analytics & Digital Platform Partner with legal and business colleagues to enable company-wide use of data to more deeply understand and deliver value to customers of 11,000 employee, publicly-traded leader in computer-aided design software tools. Counsel product and other teams on how to legally and ethically implement and execute data collection and use initiatives. Designated legal department subject matter expert for Data Use. Legal business partner to the Data Platforms & Insights team, supporting advanced analytics, platform infrastructure, enterprise data management, and data community initiatives. Co-lead of company’s inaugural Data Ethics working group focused on AI/ML, and several of its data governance working group. App Annie, Inc. Vice President of Legal Affairs of venture-backed (later acquired by Australia’s largest telecom, Telstra) leading cloud-based enterprise video technology company with worldwide sales and offices in Silicon Valley, New York, London, Mexico, Japan and Australia. Structured, drafted and negotiated hundreds of transactions spanning direct sales and channel partnerships. Created company templates and sales playbooks. Our group periodically meets with U.S. and EU regulators and European parliament members to learn and to provide input based on our experiences and challenges in undertaking to comply with the various regimes in the context of ever-changing data, digital and cloud environments.
