Professional Experience

360 Rail Services, Centennial, CO Oct 2019 - Present

Modeling Simulation Engineer

Design and develop mathematical and simulation models of business processes by utilizing agent based, discrete event and system dynamics using JAVA and AnyLogic. Collect, evaluate, and document organizational process components, data, and variables in coordination with project team members to perform modeling and optimization. Conduct detailed analysis to collect and document model results, determine emerging areas of opportunity, and implement support activities.

Key Contributions:

●Significantly enhanced operational efficiency of models by devising Algorithms in JAVA.

●Leveraged key skills and knowledge while working on generating statistics as per customers and exported important data into usable format providing guidance on process options and variability to case teams and clients.

●Enabled client to easily adjust inputs of simulation to conduct scenario analysis by creating user interfaces with adjustable parameters.

●Ensured smooth running of functions by adeptly executing internal team projects, assessments, and studies.

Technical Project Experience

Autonomous Vehicle Interchange Zone Oct 2019 – May 2020

Modeling Simulation Engineer, 360 Rail Services

Used JAVA and AnyLogic Software to model interchange zone between over the road trucks and Autonomous Vehicles. Identified each trailer needed in the interchange zone and created a set of missions for the AV by developing algorithm that optimized the AV movement and efficiency of the yard. Collected and used historical data from customers to simulate a real-world scenario to match the arrival times and missions of inbound trucks with the historic data to measure the AVs response and operational procedures of the yard.

Key Contributions:

●Leveraged key skills and knowledge while writing the function that calculate AV movement pattern in 2D space as per AV’s current location and destination.

●Designed and developed a set of adjustable parameters for the customer that used to determine an ideal scenario for the operations of the yard.

Crude Oil Supply Chain Marketing Model Oct 2019 – May 2020

Modeling Simulation Engineer, 360 Rail Services

Worked on designing a supply chain marketing model of a crude oil as a modeling simulation engineer. Planned, designed, and simulated crude oil transportation from an origination facility Alberta to a destination facility where crude loaded onto a tanker and shipped overseas. Created a user-friendly interface by changing adjustable parameters to encourage interaction with the model. Displayed statistics during model runtime that explain train, truck, crude oil and tanker operations.

Key Contributions:

●Successfully created a complete operational origination facility combining crude from trucks and a pipeline, loads into two trains, removes random bad cars, and replaces with good cars.

●Utilized technical expertise while simulating the operations at a destination terminal where the railcars unloaded on two separate tracks and then loaded into a tanker.

NASA Langley Heliogyro Blade Controller Aug 2014 – May 2015

Manufacturing Lead, Senior Design Project

Contributed efforts in designing a controller that capable of damping the pitch and flap mode of a heliogyro blade. Implemented a feedback control loop using MATLAB to deliver damping to excited blade modes. Prepared detailed presentation on design progress and delivered to a board of experienced aerospace professionals.

Key Contributions:

●Completed required calculations to guarantee successful integration of mechanical components with electrical components and software.

●Competently delivered revenue cycle build support and maintenance within cash space.

Tempest UAV Simulation Jan – May 2014

Team Member, Aircraft Dynamics Project

Planned and created linear and nonlinear simulations of the flight path of a Tempest UAV by adeptly using MATLAB and Simulink software. Created suitable plots and tables to communicate results in formal lab reports and presentations.

Key Contributions:

●Developed a feedback control system for elevator, ailerons, and rudder to stabilize flight of Tempest UAV.

●Collaborated with team members to generate results within specified timelines to meet tight deadlines
