Nostro Reconciliation Officer

Mcb Bank Ltd - November 2016 - Present

Perform reconciliation of assigned number of NOSTRO accounts on daily basis. Match and propose ‘same account’ entries. Perform ‘force matching and propose’ for entries having split amount.

Prepare Reconciliation Summary of NOSTRO accounts on ‘Monthly’ basis. Ensure generation of outstanding open items report on ‘fortnightly’ basis and sent to Trade Service Centers/Branches.

Review open items for each relationship in system and keep close track and follow up on

‘open items’ and ensure their timely resolution. Update Unit Head on the areas of concern.

Coordination with IT and CPD for Data loading and Statements Handling in system. Assist Unit head in Creation of charges and Advices file from system and sent to Treasury Department for uploading in Treasury System.

Performing daily reconciliation of Nostro accounts (foreign currency) to ensure that the transactions have settled properly.

Analysis between internal situation and the situation of Nostro accounts received from correspondent banks via MT swift messages.

Instruction and levying charges on customers if necessary.

Delivering daily, weekly and monthly reports, containing action taken in order to settle outstanding items.
