I am a qualified Process Instrumentation and Control Technician that holds a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Durban University of Technology in South Africa. As an individual who is very creative, sociable, innovative and hardworking, I have worked on multiple continuous improvement projects during my training that involve programming, fault finding and often requires accuracy of up to a micron. I possess exceptional communication skills which makes me a confident public speaker, an attentive listener which allows me to implement suggestions and requests accurately. I have achieved this by attending a communication course held by Brenda Eckstein International. Being a mixed-race individual has allowed me to mature in a multicultural family. This enabled me to deeply appreciate a diverse multinational society with different backgrounds and races, giving me a desire to familiarize myself with all cultures globally.

Growing up, I was continuously fascinated with making inanimate objects come to life. Whether it was waking up on early Saturday mornings to watch “Robot wars” and “How it’s made” or watching a rocket take off to go to outer space, the ability of automation aroused me and is my drive to wake up in the morning and be a part of pushing the boundaries of technology.

My positive attitude towards any task issued allows me to take a leadership role and delegate tasks to group members or work well as part of a team. I am responsible and committed, I work efficiently which makes me productive. This has resulted in professional competency in all operational and technical aspects of Process Instrumentation and Control.

Growing up in the 21st century enforced me to maximize my skills in this technological world, excessively amplifying my networking skills, my attendance at a UKZN course on social media marketing built on to these skills. I have been instilled with four directives, that every instrumentation engineer should follow; maximize operability, maximize productivity, maximize safety and minimize wastage. These four directives don’t only apply to an industrial plant but can be applied in everyday living, making me strive for excellence in everything I do.
