Roles and Responsibilities:

• Create the path and the guidance maps for the Surveyors using Google Earth and site’s location data which we get from the client.

• Converting and preparing Survey data in different formats Such as TXT, SHP, CAD, or Lieca total station data and covert it through Lieca Geo office application.

• Assure that the survey data is correct and the Data in its correct location

• Converting the survey data to GIS and saving it in the Geo-database

• Review others work in converting survey data to GIS then Post the modifications after reviewing in SDE.

(Converting Gizan maps (Micro-station) to GIS)

• We got from Gizan municipality maps for the municipality in Micro-station format and the tasks were:

• Cleaning the Micro-station Maps from symbols and rubbish data

• Separate Each Kind of Features in a separate layer

• Ensure that all the features following a correct Geometric and engineering concepts such as land must be presented as polygons not lines spot heights must be points not lines etc.

• Creating a comprehensive Geo-Database which can save all the features and data types

• Create a new map template for the ministry on ARC GIS for output of these maps through ARC GIS also I create the needed symbol libraries and style sheets which will be used by these maps.

KACST project (Determining the amount of underground water used in the agriculture)

• Receiving Land Sat satellite images (4 bands and 7 bands) from KACST and assure the data of each image.

• Make NDVI classification for satellite images to export the agricultural area and compare it to the area received by KACST.

• Making Full hydrology analysis on DEM to produce Stream’s network and lakes and Basins.
