Physician Recruitment Office

Oak Street Health

Inkster, MI

To Whom it May Concern,

I am submitting to you my CV to continue my career as a General Medicine Primary Care Physician at Oak Street Health System which will align with the clinician I aspire to be in the practice of Medicine and Community Advoca- cy. I believe my addition to Oak Street Health will contribute to the mission of preventive healthcare and patient en- richment.

As a current Infection Control Epidemiology Fellow at Detroit Medical Center (DMC), here in the City of Detroit, I have focused my work in community health advocacy, community engagement and medical education. It has been my goal to improve health education for patients in marginalized communities, as well as provide social science edu- cation to prospective clinicians and students of medicine to understand the population they will serve. Additionally, through my Infection Control Fellowship, I have gained experience analyzing infectious outbreaks within the hospital system and surrounding community. I have researched, practiced, and promoted the understanding of active sur- veillance and the necessity of multidisciplinary systems during health crisis such as SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. You will see from my enclosed CV, I am focused on opportunities where I may continue my passion of community engagement and health education. During this past, unprecedented year of disease, my experience working tirelessly within the medical critical care unit, the general medicine inpatient unit, and as a panelist, I proudly represented DMC to its surround community for the work we have done to help, heal and protect. My experience this past year has cata- pulted a desired career aspiration in community health advocacy. I am open to traditional role as Generalist to both primary care outpatient as well as inpatient care. The reason I am looking to further my career at Oak Street Health as a native to Detroit I hope to add to the positive impact to the underrepresented and marginalized communities health crisis. I am Board Eligible and will sit for my American Board of Internal Medicine on August 21, 2021. I am available for a full time position beginning October 17, 2021.

Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to discussing this opportunity in the coming days. Sincerely,

Kenisha J Evans, MS, MD
