POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Provides patient services employing appropriate imaging modalities and accessories and evaluates radiographs for technical quality. Exercise professional judgement in the performance of procedures, applies principles of radiation protection, and provides patient care essential to radiological procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A graduate of a degree in Bachelor of Science Radiologic Technology. 2. Registered with the Professional Regulation Commission with current license. 3. Registered with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties with current license. 4. Competency in components of radiography practice as appropriate. 5. Courteous, cooperative, loyal. And of good moral character. Main areas of responsibility:

1. Perform diagnostic procedures for all patients as requested and ensure availability of images with required information in the Picture Archiving and Communication System

(PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS) immediately after completing the procedure according to the departmental protocols and standards. 2. Review and comply with hospital and departmental policies and protocols. 3. Participate in the implementation of the departmental strategic plan. 4. Coordinate care and safety of patients during routine Radiological procedures. 5. Ensure communication with patients and staff is meaningful and professional. 6. Maintain patient confidentiality, rights and privacy at all times. 7. Handle equipment and related accessories safely and responsibly. 8. Cover the department during the working shifts / on call as scheduled and during emergencies or disaster as requested.

Fully inform patients and / or relatives as to the nature of the examination to be performed. 14. Ensure correct patient identification and site verification checks are undertaken for each examination.
