Housekeeping Supervisor

Conducting the morning briefing

Answering telephones and follows through with request

Assisting the executive Housekeeper with:

•daily and biweekly payroll procedures

•monitoring House counts

• Reporting room status to proper departments in the Hotel: Front Desk, Engineering etc.

Acquiring working knowledge of hotel and in-house facilities to respond to guest questions in this area as required

Performing all accountability in a timely efficient manner, following established company policy and projecting a favorable image of the Hotel to achieve objectives, public recognition and acceptance.

Keeping immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance, coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate

Assuring adherence to Hotel’s policies and standards

Supervising the competition of short notice requests for room changes

Notifying supervisor of any rooms requiring replacement or repair of furniture, fixtures, etc.

Inspecting all check out/stay over rooms after they are made up, keeps record of room checkouts and rooms made up and submits their records to housekeeping throughout the day.

Preparing maintenance work orders in regard to replacement or repair of furniture, fixtures etc. Following through on work orders to ensure completion.

Checking constantly the status of guest rooms and notifying room cleaners of changes.

Report incidents in the accommodation to the Human Resource Department

Pick up and drop of a colleague to the airport

Coordinate with the contracting company concerning all maintenance issues

Arrange rooms for new colleagues as per SOP’s

Coordinate with outsourced cleaning company to maintain the hygiene standards in order to provide our colleagues a healthy environment

Daily patrol in the accommodation for anything unusual to be noted and reported to the Human Resources Department

Follow up with the purchasing on pending items related to the colleague housing

Update all stores in the accommodation and ensure no shortage of needed items
