I adhere to the regulations of The National Credit Act 34 of 2005. No credit is granted without my personal involvement and consent. I conduct one-on-one interviews and credit counselling with all consumers, after which I complete an affordability assessment, which is discussed with the consumer. All the relevant credit checks and a NLR enquiry is undertaken with the consumers consent. This report contains the following important information:

1. NLR (Micro Loan Accounts) and CPA (Consumer/Retail Accounts). 2. Debt review – If the consumer has applied or is currently under debt review. 3. NCL Account Details – Full information including date opened, account type, monthly commitment, current balance, overdue accounts.

4. CPA Account Details – Full information including date opened, account type, monthly commitment, current balance, overdue accounts.

5. Previous Enquiries – This will show at which credit providers the consumer has applied for credit. 6. Adverse information – Including judgements, notices and trace alerts. 7. Address – List of addresses where the consumer has lived. 8. Telephone – List of contact telephone numbers of the consumer. 9. Employer details – List of employers of the consumer. This enables me, after calculating the consumer’s last three months income, less all monthly debt obligations, necessary expenses and maintenance obligations, to see whether or not the consumer meets the necessary criteria. After taking into account the consumer’s debt repayment history and affordability criteria, the credit applied will either be granted or not.

I am responsible for submitting the following reports to The National Credit Regulator on an annual basis:
