PROJECTS

R.E.D. Day

At Saint Francis University, each year they dedicate one day to helping the nearby communities. Reaching Every Door (R.E.D.) allowed students to practice community service in different ways.

I helped conduct research for the Psychology Department. I went to one of the nearby elementary schools and taught the after-school program students about different career fields, and helped them to figure out which field would best suit their likes and interests at that time.

Training Rescue Canines

In the course Canine Learning and Behavior, students had to teach rescue canines to become good citizens over the semester. At the end of the semester, the dogs were tested on the AKG Good Canine Citizen Test.

Students also had to perform research on a topic of their choosing with one of the dogs throughout the semester.

Mental Toughness in Sports and Everyday Life

The pamphlet I made showed coaches and parents how they can help athletes become mentally tough in many situations. Whether it dealt with an injury, losing a big game, or trying something new.

The pamphlet also helped athletes understand how to become mentally tough and what it takes to properly do so. My sister in the United States Airforce had given the pamphlet to her Airmen to help them overcome tough situations and received great feedback for it.
