SUMMARY:
Thirty-four years’ experience in the NDT field as level II and level III in Ultrasonic,
Eddy current, Liquid penetrant (visible and florescent), Magnetic particle (visible and
florescent) methods. Visual inspection and examination methods using both hand held
and automated equipment. Ultrasonic experience has been in the Shear Wave,
Immersion, UT thickness and limited Phased Array inspection methods. Experience in
NDE procedural development. Trained and certified Level I and Level II personnel in
the above NDT methods.

United States Navy Welding School – 1974 basic welding and sheet metal training
United States Navy School for Classroom Instructor- Sept to Oct 1979 attended the
navy’s instructor training for class room instruction and curriculum writing and
development.
United States Navy for Non-Destructive Testing of metals Jan to Apr 1984 attended
the core training class for the methods of VT, MT, PT, and advanced training in the
methods of ultrasonic and eddy current testing.
COMSUBGROUP 6 Quality Assurance Supervisor Training program Jan 1985
where I attended the Submarine group 6 Quality Supervisor training and received
certification as a Navy nuclear submarine supervisor. Entrusted with the oversight
and scheduling of NDE work scope as well as emergent repairs to the tended unit at
the command.

Fort Myers FL
Contract NDE Level II – Certified NDE Level II in VT, MT, PT, UT
(thickness/shearwave). ASNT–SNT-TC-1A and NAS 410. Assigned to numerous field
and shop contracts. Progress Energy. Level II VT, MT, PT, and UT thickness /
shearwave inspections. Included weld inspection to boiler tube repairs with liquid
penetrant and UT shearwave evaluation. Responsible for final reporting of all
examinations performed and submit for the cognizant site level III to final turnover. Also
was involved with the inspection of the turbine generators using the VT, MT florescent
and PT florescent inspection. Duke energy: (formerly Progress Energy) also included the
inspections of boiler tube repair as well as critical structural inspections through the
client’s facility fleet. Also, was involved in the inspection of the tear down and
inspection of the turbines to several the power units which included the use of visual as
well as florescent Mag Particle inspection. Amercon (P&W): Supported visual and FPI
inspections at the Amercon facility in Harrisburg Pa. Performed first line Visual and
Florescent Penetrant inspections on cast turbine airfoils for UTC/Pratt & Whitney engine
parts. Successfully completed P&W training and received certification in the FPI
inspection method. Columbus Forge (P&W): Supported automated immersion UT
inspections on rotating engine parts for 2+ years utilizing the KB, Matech and IRT
systems. Successfully completed P&W training and received certification in the UT
inspection method. Other: Worked numerous short term NIC NDE field inspection
projects both locally and interstate.
1994 to 2008 Coopers of Collier County
Owner of the swimming pool construction company. Responsible for the construction of
residential and commercial swimming pools. State certified pool contractor.

United States Navy
Attended the US Navy’s welding school completed and attained the welders code 4955.
Attended the US Navy’s school for instructor for Classroom instruction and curriculum
development. Completed and received Navy’s NEC 9502. Attended the US Navy’
school for the non-destructive testing of metals. Completed and received certification in
the following methods VT, MT, PT, UT thickness/shear wave, and Eddy Current for
surface cracking and delamination inspection method. Assigned the USS Canopus AS-34
NDT department R-8 division as a level II inspector. Which involved the inspection of
various components and systems onboard Nuclear-powered submarines. After being on
board for less that 18month was selected to replace the transferring present level III
(Command Examiner). Attended the Comsubgroup 6 Quality Assurance Supervisor
program and completed and received the designation as Submarine Quality Assurance
Supervisor. Reviewed and completed quality assurance records and completed NDT
inspection reports. As command examiner was entrusted with the training and
recertification of new and existing command personnel. Reviewed and up dated
inspection procedures controlled and maintained all personnel training records and
training materials and made all required manual updates in accordance with Navsea and
NRC updates and news bulletins.
