Resume:

My name is Carlos Holt, I currently live in San Antonio, Texas. I am writing you about the position of Director for The President’s Council on Physical Fitness. My life in general from the time I was eight years old has evolved around sport’s and physical fitness. I ran track at the age of 10 in New Hampshire and went on from there, I have participated at a high level in the sports of Football, baseball, track and field, wrestling, martial arts, weightlifting and golf. I have spent several years managing local and national gyms, Health centers, and employees of several major companies in America. My expertise is in hiring, motivating, training, developing and mentoring people in business and sports all over the country. My deep concerns for young people in America are the decline of physical activity in our school systems, that leads several of them to overweight problems and disease. Unfortunately, 18 to 24 % move up to the level of obesity which is much more dangerous than being overweight. We can over analyze this saying one is eating too much. If you look at the underlying problems of obesity, we soon realize that overeating, and lack of exercise is a big part of the problem. The second problem is many people are not eating the right type of foods. If we want to be realistic about it these are the only problems.

I would like to help get this problem of obesity under control in America through vigorous training at all school levels with teams going across America and meeting with school Principals and Athletic Director’s to set up extensive programs to give every student to participate in programs to fight against obesity in the United States. What benefits they receive would be tremendous?

1.A healthy life styles.

2.A longer life

3.Feel good about themselves.

4.Teach their family about habits.

5.Their mind would be more open to learning.

6.A chance to participate in activities locally and Nationally.

7.An opportunity to receive a medal from the President of the United States for their achievements.

To work close with the employees of the food venders that serve lunches in the cafeterias in each school district from elementary to collegiate levels.

Look at sports and activities that take place during recess in Elementary school. One would ask if kids even participated in sports or have a recess in schools anymore.

Develop national programs with daily, weekly, and monthly challenges to the student body of each school in the U.S.

Have competitions at local, district, and state levels with an opportunity to compete on a National stage.

Meet with the Principals of each school to get feedback on activities that they would commit with to help their school reach a great level and to influence their faculty team to participate 100% with these programs that we put forth as a council.

To receive constant feedback from the schools on the progress of their programs set forth.

To have each Principal sign an agreement or contract to make a commitment to enroll 100% to fulfill their goals as assigned.

I look forward to talking and meeting with you and hope I get the position for it is time for me to give back to our country.

Sincerely

Carlos Holt

Career Objective

Obtain a Top-level position in Upper Management with the United States Government’s Council on Physical Fitness, with a strong emphasis on Physical Fitness for the National School systems and businesses throughout the Country. I have a strongly committed to the development and implementation of proper diet and exercise programs designed to work with our youth. Focus on Education Departments across the country to implement programs for success controlling and putting an end to the 20% of our children who are over-weight or obese. Implement successful programs with exercise and diet to control these conditions in our schools and society. Imagine young people spending less time gaming and more time getting involved in physical activities. These programs would certainly help to put an end to the problem of people falling into these categories. It would save the country 50% of the health care cost in the long term that is due to lack of exercise and diet. These programs would focus on eliminating the diseases that arise from the lack of physical activity and proper diets. For example: High blood pressure and heart disease is the #1 killer in America in a non- COVID-19 environment, because of proper diets which should start at elementary school level through college student levels. Other problems that lead to the diagnoses of lung and heart disease that could eventually lead to cancer and other fatal diseases. The solution is so simple with the proper teams and implementation of programs throughout that we should develop for our society. With this in minds I feel my background and knowledge in these areas would greatly help our country to get on the right path to health and physical fitness. They say 1 ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I will be an outstanding asset to your cabinet, in a position that is rarely utilized.
