Worked in Adobe Site Reliability Engineering org and helped improve the observability portal which provides information about critical service outages and diagnostics for Adobe Creative Cloud services. Integrated AWS/Azure monitoring and events to the Adobe Observability portal that provides diagnostics information that affect Adobe accounts on AWS/Azure and automatically maps to ongoing Adobe critical service outages. Performed full stack development to create the front-end with HTML and AngularJS, backend with Java, a custom API with python to store events, integrate with Kafka to consume event info and adding alerting functionality through platforms like Slack. This project has helped in providing insight into the health of Adobe services running in the cloud and in providing useful information to allow faster and easier critical service outage resolution. DevOps Intern at Symantec

June-September 2019

Worked in the Hybrid Cloud Services Department at Symantec where my main project was to introduce a new infrastructure with a proof-of-concept for VM provisioning and installation of software with the goal of automating these tasks as much as possible. Completed various other side projects.

● Automated the creation of VMs on cloud and software installation with different CI/CD pipelines based on software, dependencies, network, security groups, and other settings like load balancing or reserved disk as required by the user. It is deployable on any public or private cloud using a combination of Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins. Saved the IT department the time taken to create VMs and successfully installed all software needed from an average of 4 hours a day to about 10 minutes.

● Created a price comparator for specific VM instances that determines if its more effective to deploy on Azure vs AWS based on discounts, region, type, size, and other parameters using Python, Azure, and AWS APIs. Learned about different instance types, deployment options, and purchasing options in AWS and Azure. Enabled the finance team for easier and faster decisions about services and VMs on cloud platforms. Education

2019-2020

Worked in a group to create a platform that automates and handles tasks useful for developers such as building and testing automation, storing files, access to custom APIs made by students, and various other utilities. I automated the project’s build and test functionality by using Docker and Jenkins. I wrote a script that stores the specified source files and dependencies into a Docker container. I used the Docker plugin for Jenkins to integrate these containers into a Jenkins pipeline that will trigger a build with Maven plugin and specified tests with Selenium plugin. Autoscaling Deployments on Kubernetes

2018-2019

Deployed a Docker container containing a Flask web app in a Kubernetes cluster that would horizontally scale by spinning up new pods using CPU utilization across nodes as a metric with GCP Cloud Monitoring. With this implementation, the app could now handle thousands of requests without severe latency and performance issues.
