PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Systems Engineer - Infosys Limited, Mysore, India December 2016 – July 2019 Autonomous Golf Cart:

• Created a road detection module from sparse point clouds generated by a VLP-16 LiDAR using deep neural networks which resulted in 83 FPS and 94% F1-score.

• Programmed an algorithm to detect dynamic and static obstacles using LiDAR.

• Developed method for Localization system for the autonomous guided vehicle for the indoor and outdoor environment using Cartographer(SLAM) and sensor fusion techniques.

• Developed a plug-in-play package for multi-person pose detection incorporated to eliminate false positives. Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS):

• Deployed an end-to-end ADAS suite to enable the automobile perception by detecting different road objects, sense traffic light and recognize different traffic sign. Tested with Coco and Belgium Traffic Sign Dataset. Carla Simulator:

• Designed road signs and customized virtual environment to execute different traffic situations based on modular behaviors in CARLA, a simulator built in Unreal engine to test ADAS suite and perception modules. UI Development:

• Designed and developed a web-based application using ReactJS, Redux and Agile methodologies.

• Provided continuous code improvements and performed unit testing for all coding changes. ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Generating Textual Description for Image Fall 2019

• Leveraged state-of-the-art CNN architectures - VGGNet, Inceptionv3 and RNN variants - LSTM, GRU to generate the textual description of the images in Natural Language and

• Trained the model on Flickr8k and Flickr30k datasets and compared the captions generated by these models with the captions generated by human.

Robotic Toolbox Spring 2020

• Developed a Robotic Toolbox using MathWorks MATLAB and MathWorks App Designer.

• The Robotic Toolbox derived outputs such as Kinematics, Manipulator Dynamics, Euler Angles, Rotation Matrix of the Robot, Motion Control of the Manipulator, Jacobian Matrix, etc. that are required for modeling and controlling a robot. Pursuit Evasion Game Spring 2020

• Designed environments and build robot in Gazebo Simulator and implemented Gmapping package in ROS to create maps of simulated world.

• Created a node that detect, track and pursue an object using YOLO algorithm and Computer Vision techniques. Neural Machine Translation Fall 2020

• Leveraged a Encoder-Decoder model and used Bahdanau attention mechanism to convert texts from French to English.

• Trained the model on WMT 2014 datasets and achieved a bleu score of 18.76. PUBLICATIONS

Jul. 2020 Road Segmentation on low resolution Lidar point clouds for autonomous vehicles. Accepted, ISPRS
