Committee in charge of yearly community breakfast to celebrate the life and work of labor leader and UFW founder, César Chávez. Committee also has yearly Essay contest for High School Seniors and NEWLY ADDED, Community College Scholarship. The SDCCC also celebrates a yearly Day of Service, were local elementary schools are beautified for the better enjoyment of children, as well as to pass on Chávez message of education.
