Designing of American Chopper using SolidWorks. ( Project Report)
Being a Passionate Design Engineer which took me to a Design an American Chopper from scratch to Final
Render of its each and every Component using Solid works & Final Rendering of Assembly using SolidWorks
Visualize and Photoview 360.
It Includes 13 parts - Transmission belt, wheels (front & rear), fenders, gas tank, front fork, chassis, oil tank, etc.
which are designed separately in part file and assembled together in Assembly file.
Designing of Sunseeker Yacht using SolidWorks. ( Project Report)
Surface modelling is the main mantra which helps to design each and every component of Sunseeker Yacht by
using solidworks & Final Rendering of Assembly using SolidWorks Visualize and Photoview 360.
It includes 9 Parts - Radar mast, radar, Hull, Seats, Super structure, Propeller, Garage door which are designed
separately in part file and assembled together in Assembly file.
Designing of Robotic Arm Components, Assembly & Modelling using Solidworks. (Project Report)
Designing of Robotic arm with Drill machine as an end effector in Solidworks and Modelling in PV360 to give a
realistic look. A Robot is a machine especially one programmable by a computer capable of carrying out a
complex series of actions automatically.
SCARA - Selective Compliance Articulated Robotic arm with 4 DOF is designed in Bottom-up approach.
It includes Base Assembly, Arm Assembly and End effector which are divided into 5 modules and assembled
together.
Designing of Box Assembly - NX Advanced Sheet Metal. ( Project Report)
I n this project a Box Assembly is designed in NX using sheet metal application.
Commands used - Tab, Flange, closed corners, Unbend, Rebend, Normal cutout, Bead, etc.
Designing of Metal Bracket - NX Advanced Sheet Metal. ( Project Report)
An overhanging member that projects from a structure (such as a wall) and is usually designed to support a
vertical load or to strengthen an angle.
In this project a Metal Bracket is designed in NX using sheet metal application.
Commands used - Counter Flange, break corners, Unbend, Rebend, Normal cutout, Gusset, Flat Pattern, Drafting,
etc.
Designing of B utterfly Valve and applying GD&Tolerance using NX CAD. (Project Report)
A Butterfly Valve is from a family of valves called Quarter turn-valves. In operation, the valve is fully open or
closed when the disc is rotated a quarter turn.
The objective of this Project is to Design Butterfly Valve and apply GD & Tolerance to it using NX CAD as
software tool.
Modeling of Butterfly Valve is done by designing each and every component individually and getting together to
assemble. GD & Tolerance given to components as well as Assembly using NX CAD Tool.
Designing of Car Hood/Bonnet - N X Automotive Sheet Metal Design. ( Project Report)
Project is about designing a Hood or Bonnet BIW that satisfies the manufacturing requirements, functional
requirements as per Euro NCAP standards.
Hood may be hinged at either front or rear edge in earlier models. It may be split into two sections one each side,
each hinged along the centerline. A further variant combines the bonnet and wheel arches into one section and
allows the entire front body work to tilt forward around a pivot near the front of the vehicle.
Sheet Metal Operations - Blanking/Piercing, Embossing, Deep Drawing & Hemming.
Command used : Extract Geometry, Law Extension, Emboss, Trim & Extend Sheet, Mirror geometry, Thicken,

Project is about designing the front fender from the given skin data and the master section provided with Drip
mounting, A-pillar, Sill, Bumper, C mounting and Splash mountings.
Fender may be Full Bumper type or Half Bumper type classified based on area covered.
Command used : Emboss, Gussets, Trim & Extend Sheet, Mirror geometry, Thicken, Offset Surface, Offset Face,
Edge/Flace blend, etc.
ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Design and Fabrication Go-Kart.
We designed a model of a Go-kart using SolidWorks and fabricated in house.
It includes some Innovative ideas such as implementing Solar Panel for Battery charging, Best
Aerodynamic design, etc.
An Engine of 190cc displacement, single cylinder Petrol Engine with 6.5bhp@3600rpm maximum power is
used in this Project.
AISI4130 Alloy steel class A tube used for the fabrication of Chassis.
Specifications - 80 (L)x43 (W)x35 (H) with 2.5 ground clearances.
A fuel tank of 3.79 litre capacity, Disc brake and air type of cooling included.
WORKSHOPS ATTENDED
Ornithopter, Attended the workshop at BMSCE, Bengaluru.
Designed and fabricated a basic model of Ornithopter at BMSCE, Bengaluru and won best
fabrication award.
Southern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute:
Analysed the effect of various parameters such as Overhauling, repair, maintenance,
assembling and dismantling of 5hp Single Cylinder Diesel Engine.
