Resume:

DECLARATION UNDER PENALTY OF PERJURY

PURSUANT TO 28 U.S.C. § 1746

1.My name is Denise Korn. I am over eighteen years of age and competent to testify to the matters contained herein.

2.I am a resident of Fulton County in Georgia. My residence address is 993 Burns Drive SW, Atlanta, GA 30310.

3.I have lived in Georgia since 2003.

4.Voting is important to me because it is my right as an American citizen. So many Black Americans have died for that right. I cast my first vote the same year that 18-year-olds were given the right to vote. Since then, I have voted in almost every local, state, and federal election no matter where I have lived.

5.I have never experienced any issues with voting in Georgia.

6.I requested my vote-by-mail ballot online where I was able to track it, as well. I returned my absentee ballot via the USPS. When I checked my ballot’s status online, I found that it arrived on time and my ballot was accepted by the state registrar’s office.

7.I don’t trust drop boxes at all and I would never use one. They are not as secure and I believe they can be easily sabotaged. Anything can happen. For example, someone can dump paint inside the drop box or it could be stolen.

8.I voted by mail for the first time in the 2021 Runoff Election. Since I am over age 65, I decided to vote absentee as a precaution because of COVID-19.

9.If I could not have voted by mail, I would have voted in person. I will not be discouraged from voting. I have a car, so I am able to easily get to the polling place.

10. I feel voting in person would put my health more at risk for getting COVID-19. Waiting in line to vote, there would be no social distancing. I believe this would create a situation where I would have to stand much too close to other people.

11. While voting in person would not have impacted my income, it would take a chunk of hours out of my day.

12. I have a current Georgia driver’s license. I would definitely not be comfortable putting my driver’s license number on the envelope of my absentee ballot.

13. I would not be happy about putting a copy of my driver’s license inside the envelope, either. There are too many ways to steal your identity. I think these are outrageously foolish suggestions that put all Georgians at risk. If I absolutely had to add a driver’s license as part of an absentee ballot, I would do it, but only under duress.

14.I do not have a copy of my voter registration card.

15. I am eligible to automatically receive an absentee ballot.

16. I want the option of voting by mail in the future. However, if the weather is nice and there is no pandemic, I would go to in-person early voting. But voting in person would be problematic if early voting is not an option.

17.When I vote, it reinforces my birthright as a citizen of the United States of America.

18.I give this Declaration freely, without coercion, and without any expectation of compensation or other reward.

19.I understand that in giving this Declaration, I am not represented by a lawyer, and no lawyer asked me to be a client or to serve in any way as anything other than a witness in this litigation.

20.I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct.
