It is with great excitement and careful consideration that I am writing to you. I would like to be considered for the current posted position. After 32 years of teaching Special Education, I believe it is time for a career change. Teaching has always been my first passion, but it is time for me to pursue other experiences and opportunities in my life. I thrive on learning and meeting new challenges. I also have experienced first-hand the successes and difficulties of working in the world of education through direct contact with teenagers. I have displayed a commitment to the Holmen School District by taking on and exceeding countless responsibilities in order to grow professionally and personally. It is because of my dedication and determination that I was able to maintain such an amazing career in the same position for such a long period. In essence, my character, work ethic, and values qualify as an excellent candidate for this position. Over the past 31 years, I have shown my intense ambition to learn, grow, and work harder every day to become a better person. When I started teaching Special Education students, I had no experience or certification in the area of Special Education. The Holmen School District gave me a chance and the opportunity. I seized that opportunity with my desire and passion for being the best I can be. I am very proud of my career in education of 31 years, but I am in need of a new adventure for more growth and experiences as a person.
