WORK EXPERIENCE
Quality Control Engineer Adell Plastics, Inc.
July 2018 – Dec’ 2020
Lead cross function team to maintain the quality of manufactured thermoplastic resin and continually
improve the company’s Quality Management System
(QMS).
Leverage proficiency in various lean-6 sigma tools such as Capability Studies (Cp/Cpk), PFMEA, Regression
Analysis and various other tools.
Successfully increased the First Time Quality (FTQ) from 83% in 2018 to 91% in 2019 & from 91% in
2019 to 93.4% in first three quarters of 2020.
Collaborated with Plant Manager to periodically train QC lab technicians, machine operators in Poka-Yoke Process, QC procedures, and Total Preventive
Maintenance (TPM) systems.
Process Engineer Adell Plastics, Inc.
Dec’ 2017 – July 2018
Optimized process setups for twin screw extrusion production machines for compounding various
thermoplastics such as polyamides, polypropylene,
PBT, etc.
Applied the knowledge of lean six sigma practices such as DMAIC cycle & successfully reduced the downtime of the machines by 11% and worked towards its further improvement.
Performed troubleshooting on the machines and aimed towards continuous improvement of manufacturing
operations by employing various lean six sigma tools such as 5-Whys, Pareto Charts, 8Ds etc.
Mechanical Design Team Member Terps Racing, UMD
Feb’ 17 – Dec’ 17
Excelled at designing 3D models of bell cranks for TR18 formula racing car on SOLIDWORKS –
optimized designs through FEA analyses using
maximum force conditions.
Performed static and dynamic load conditions for ball bearings selection, enabling minimum weight of the entire bell crank assembly.
Successfully reduced the weight of theTR18’s front and rear bell cranks by almost 8% and 10% while
maintaining a safety factor of 1.3 for both assemblies. ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Wood Working Lathe Design Project
University of Maryland, College Park, MD
Objective – To design a tabletop wood working lathe in Pro-E Creo.
Performed iterative calculations for shaft design, belt design, bearings, and fasteners. Validated these
dimensions with dynamic failure theories.
Validated the design against the set specifications by Finite Element Analysis (FEA) & fatigue analysis.
Result – Accomplished the design of the lathe in Creo in compliance with the provided engineering
characteristics.
CERTIFICATES
CSWA – Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate
(02/2018).
Certified ISO 9001 Auditor – Quality Certification
(10/2019).
